Be aware that shipper's reference format this month shifts between EXP 18 AUG 2014A and EXP AUG 18 2014A.

So acceptance means it has been reviewed? or they received your DS-261 yesterday?

Accepted in this manner means it was added to the case file and now the IV bill will be invoiced.

when I called NVC, they told me we can't see your form into our system yet when its already been about 32 days from the date of submission of ds 261 but it shows completed. So it means it hasn't been reviewed and added to casefile. Is that normal?

Yes it's normal. If mine took 64 days, and you are only on day 32, you might still have some time to wait...

Any idea if it's typical for India to have the interview scheduled within 1.5 months of CC (via phone)? And a month after it's scheduled?

As long as your DS-261 says "completed" on the CEAC page, it should be ok. I would try to call back and speak with someone else.

I am happy for you that you finally got it. But at least they had your form. They cannot see my form. I always read on forum when people say rep told them their form was received on this and that date but I was never given any such information.

From my experience, different reps use different language.

One rep may refer to an unreviewed form as received and under review, while another may refer to it as simply unreceived. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

We are close to the same day for the DS261 and considering how long it took them to "receive" JeffInMX's DS261 I'd say that we are safely in the system and half way there!! :-(
