Got our interview scheduled email on August 15th! I'm scheduled for an interview Sept 19 at 8:30am! Of course that means that hubby won't be able to come with me... and we're a bit worried since we were in Montreal for less than 24 hours this month (on our big road trip) and our car got broken into. Not a great impression of the city!

Oh well - now I can (hopefully) have a new, wonderful opinion of Montreal - the place I got to go so hubby and I can finally move to the US!

The trip is still underway (for those who don't know, my husband and I have been on an amazing road trip adventure since mid July - we went from Vancouver to Halifax (mostly through the US), flew to St John's Newfoundland for a wedding and back, and are now on our way back - we're in Brandon, Manitoba tonight - over halfway home!

Hope everyone is well and that NVC is starting to get their acts together!

FINALLY got the invoice for my IV fees... WOOT WOOT!!!! :dancing::dancing:

I got the email at about 7:45 pm, obviously they weren't working at that time so somebody must have unlocked them earlier today.

SO I rushed home and paid the fees, now this is what my summary screen looks like:

CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (DS-261)

COMPLETED

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT (AOS)

Role: Petitioner/Primary Sponsor

Affidavit of Support Fee: PAID

Affidavit of Support Documents and Financial Evidence: N/A

APPLICANT INFORMATION

Status: PRINCIPAL APPLICANT

IV Fee: IN PROCESS

IV Application: NOT STARTED

Civil Documents: N/A

So from what I understand, when the IV fee changes from "In Process" to "Paid" then I can complete my DS260, and when my Affidavit of support fee changes from "Paid" to "N/A" then it is a sign of a possible case complete.

From those who are farther along, are there any other signs I should be on the lookout for on this page?

SOOOO excited for things FINALLY to be moving again!!!!

Crazy journey for those docs. They will travel from new Hampshire, all the way to Australia, just to make a come back again the US. would've been nice if they can just send them direct to NVC, in the perfect world.

Crazy journey indeed. Same here. I started with NVC 4 months ago and I don't expect an interview before October. All those long distance mailings and many hours of phone calls when the US embassy is within only a brisk 10-minutes walk from my front door!

Can someone who has already paid IV invoice, please tell the difference between the two bar coded sheets?

Is the " Attn:" label different between the two?

My AOS coversheet said ATTN: CMR and my IV package coversheet said ATTN: DR otherwishe the addresses are the same.

A lot of people have had success doing that. Officially it's not recommended. The only difference in the address on the cover sheet is that the AOS has "Attn: CMR AOS", whereas the IV just has "Attn: CMR"

If I was doing sending the IV on the AOS cover sheet, I'd whiteout the "AOS" part of the address.

The IV package (civil documents) should have a coversheet with ATTN: DR instead of CMR....or at least mine did. I sent my civil documents in with my AOS coversheet, marked out CMR and wrote in DR. I did that with the advice of one of the Customer Service Reps at NVC to help speed up my process. They reviewed my IV package about a week after I paid my IV invoice. I would have had a case completed on 21 July if we hadn't gotten a checklist for a PCC.....

Hmm...

My AOS was ATTN: CMR AOS and IV was ATTN:CMR

Wonder why that difference .

Anyone here with two cases at NVC (i.e. wife + stepchild)?

Mine and my daughter's cases were linked by NVC last month.

Hubby was able to pay my daughter's IV fee last week and I filed her DS-260 form yesterday but mine still not available. I called NVC and the rep Olivia told me its linked only to have the interview at same day (I thought we would have everything released at same day)

Can anybody share their experience with two cases?

Thanks!

I have two case's also. If you look at my signature , my Daughters case (NVC) was almost 2 months ahead of wife's case.

Miraculously Wife's case caught up with daughters case.

My husband got his police clearance from Australia, it says he had a 100 dollar fine for an unlicensed vehicle. He said he went to court for it. does he need to provide court records as well for the IV package?

I'm surprised that a traffic violation is listed on a PCC, unless he was lax in remedying the situation and an arrest warrant or something similarly serious was issued. In that case, court records need to be provided.

I would include the court records in any case, if easily available. To give you an idea, my wife has a Colorado speeding arrest case from 1993 that was dismissed in court a couple of days later, and there are currently no police or court records of the event. Still, I procured statements from the concerned District Attorney and Clerk of the Courts confirming no records of the even exist. I submitted these statement to NVC and were accepted since. Better safe than sorry.

Filed: IR-1/CR-1 Visa Country: Chile
Timeline

FINALLY got the invoice for my IV fees... WOOT WOOT!!!! :dancing::dancing:

I got the email at about 7:45 pm, obviously they weren't working at that time so somebody must have unlocked them earlier today.

SO I rushed home and paid the fees, now this is what my summary screen looks like:

CHOICE OF ADDRESS & AGENT (DS-261)

COMPLETED

AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT (AOS)

Role: Petitioner/Primary Sponsor

Affidavit of Support Fee: PAID

Affidavit of Support Documents and Financial Evidence: N/A

APPLICANT INFORMATION

Status: PRINCIPAL APPLICANT

IV Fee: IN PROCESS

IV Application: NOT STARTED

Civil Documents: N/A

So from what I understand, when the IV fee changes from "In Process" to "Paid" then I can complete my DS260, and when my Affidavit of support fee changes from "Paid" to "N/A" then it is a sign of a possible case complete.

From those who are farther along, are there any other signs I should be on the lookout for on this page?

SOOOO excited for things FINALLY to be moving again!!!!

Awesome! Congrats on your progress!

Our timeline seems like its a week to 10 days behind yours. I did a quick calculation and your 30 business days from DS-261 was yesterday! Mine is next Friday so I hope we get ours by then.

Good luck moving forward!

Hmm...

My AOS was ATTN: CMR AOS and IV was ATTN:CMR

Wonder why that difference .

I stand corrected!! I just looked and sure enough, it says CMR...nevertheless, I wrote DR on it and it was received ok...my way may have been an older way of doing things...so much changes so quickly!
