When was your last scan date?

I have a feeling that it was a typo. It was probably Aug 15 (Friday) or Aug 18 (Monday).

If NVC was working on weekends, they'd be "working" like this considering how long it's taking them to review packages.

I am preparing everything I need to send in my IV package, but I am confused as to whether I mail it in or scan/email it in. Does it matter?

Armenia isn't eligible for EP. Only certain countries are eligible to email packages in.

WOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOO ARMENIA YIKES FINALLY! :D I know you think I'm nuts but Yoda I mean Saylin heheheheee I'll let her tell you about it. armenia.gif129fs238648.gif127fs2361263.gifegyptian.gifegyptian.gifdancing1.gifdancing1.gifmini-graphics-dancing-and-singing-259303mini-graphics-dancing-and-singing-259303127fs2361263.gif

Yeah, I have no idea why it says that... I am CDJ

Then why not update it? It says Armenia because of YOU.

You need to call and ask, please check when my packages were scanned and they should know the terminology unless they're new. I call only when I need to I find that calling all the time must just annoy them and I'm not risking them losing my paper work because of it. Not only that but calling ALL the time just ties up the phone lines for people like you and I that need to ask questions and not just call to annoy and bother them, it's just abusive :D. But call when ever you need to call, that is what they are there for. When you get the scanned date call when it hit's 30 days then 45 then in my opinion once a week is good enough but it's up to you.

Good luck to you hope all goes smoothly for you from now on. :)(F) (L) (F)

Thank you so much! That's really helpful. :) And yeah, I wasn't planning on calling all the time, I also figured that must piss everyone off and won't accomplish that much.

I am sorry if this has already been asked, the search function is not the best. Question: is it still true that if you have a lawyer (from the USCIS stage) you get to skip the choice of agent step (DS-261) and the AOS/IV fees get invoiced at the same time? You literally don't have to do it, it gets skipped? Will it show up in the portal? I read about this on the NVC guide but I wasn't sure if that information was up to date. Can someone who has a lawyer confirm? Just trying to avoid delays in this stage. Thank you!

Hi I saw that someone replied to you.But thought would share my experience. In my case,I had to submit a new G 28 ( you can download it from USCIS) and appoint the lawyer , sign it and and have your lawyer send it to nvcattorney@state.gov scanned copy. All correspondence and updates after that is with nvcattorney and not nvcinquiry@state.gov, the G 28 from USCIS does not transfer over automatically

See excerpt from NVC below:

You were entered as the attorney of record for this immigrant visa

petition. All future correspondence regarding this visa petition will

be sent to your office.

As an attorney, you should submit general inquiries and updates to the

NVC at NVCAttorney@state.gov. All specific legal questions concerning

your client's case should be sent via e-mail to the Visa Office of the

Bureau of Consular Affairs at legalnet@state.gov.

Wooop we just got an email from NVC re: our AOS bill looks like, I can't check the portal because my workplace still uses ie8 and the portal doesn't like that (understandably)! Looks like I'm going home at lunchtime!
