Lucky, meaning that they are counting the 60 business days from the date that it was received in the mail and not the scan date, as you stated it said in your email.

Considering my original 30 business days were due to be up on Monday...I really don't see the luck.

Either way, you still have to wait, just like the rest of us. The reason I said you are lucky (probably not the best word) is because your extra days of waiting are going to be started from the delivery date instead of the scan date (1 week, like you said).

I haven't received the 60 days email yet. So it's still 30 business days (45 days) for me!

I wonder if NVC got the memo from the embassies/consulates because some embassies/consulates are experiencing a system problem and can't issue visas. I heard that some embassies had to cancel interviews. They may be rescheduling and canceling interviews so they need more time, which means they want to receive fewer cases from NVC. If so, NVC should be able to go back to the good old 30 business days wait once the system gets fixed? :clock:

From what I understand, immigrant visas aren't too impacted by that issue anymore

Heaven forbid if we get a checklist and wait for another 60 days! :wow: That would be a crime! :ranting:

I reviewed my IV package so many times. I even decided to include optional documents they may not need just in case they reject one of them (such as both original and certified copy of my marriage license).

I hope I don't get a checklist! Fingers crossed!

I'm sorry to say it means just that, they went from making us wait 30 business days to 60 days period! There is no excuse and there is no rhyme or reason for what they do. I'm sick of this and we are all impotent to change anything that will help us for now.

But smiley-whacky097.gif in there everyone it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I just received the 60 business days notice. This is Some Bull. How they gonna

Make people surfer like That? Did they ever ask thrmself what people are going through doing this? We pay them for à job and Thats How they treat us ? This is very sad and Shame on Who or people running this NVC département bc instead of trying to fix the problèm they are using excuses. We are not just papier or document we are human That had feeling and Care about our family. How dear are they to

Treat us like Some laborotory experiement while people family are suffering from being apart . I hope we have the strength to wait more another 60 days and imaging if u have a check list you gonna have to wait another 60 days . I m very speechless after this . Good luck to the rest of you .May God give u the strength to wait .

Hey Austin, are you doing electronic processing or snail mailing?

FedEx is my best friend! I decided to send my packages because EP was slow when I sent my AOS package. :clock:

But... EP may be a little faster now since fewer people are doing EP because we thought EP was slower. :bonk:

EP is cheaper because I sent my AOS and IV packages separately so it cost me $90 to FedEx them. :dead:

If you're doing EP, make sure you double-check your attachments before you send it. You can easily miss some attachment files. Oh, make sure your attachments are not too big or password protected.

Just spoke with a supervisor (Octavio) and he clarified that it is 60 day NOT 60 business days. He also said that this is for them to REACH you mail. This does not mean that this is the day it is REVIEWED by.

Hope that helps.
