Yeah same plan here. We just emailed them couple days ago. When did you email? Let me know if you get response. I will do the same.

I havent emailed them. I thought they will send cus they got my email address. I didn't know i still have to email them. But yeah i will email them tonight and I'll let you know what will happen?

Okay, so it appears you filled out the request form for my old layout, and I don't send checklists for that. So, you did end up making a mistake. Be very careful with form numbers.

Remember folks, DS-261 =/= DS-260.

I'll add you anyways. I'm lenient on my old layout :P

So, what and where is this new layout? Every time I click the spreadsheet in your signature it shows me the old one. :/

Hey guys,

I received my case number and invoice identification number today. After 1hr my AOS bill was ready to be pay. So, I paid it. When should I expect to receive the DS261? I'm going to send my AOS package at the end of the week

Hi everyone!

I am working on the IV package right now. My husband is from Mexico, does he need a police certificate? It seems like they don't do them. Has anyone gotten one from there? Thanks!!

P.S. According to this website, they are not available in Mexico: http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/MX.html

Thanks Savagechair, She submitted certificate request online today. I wish i had known that certificate is required for each country you stay for more than 1yr. I hope certificate wont take more than a month. HOPEFULLY WILL TAKE ONLY 3 WEEKS LIKE YOURS!!!!!

My husband needed a certificate of good conduct from Malaysia and we requested it online on July 16th (my husband is egyptian & lived in malaysia 2yrs & is now in egypt) A few days (5-7days) after we submitted everything.... The application status changed to "Certificate is ready for collection" so we assumed it was ready but when my husband went to the Malaysia embassy in Cairo and even had 20Malaysian ringitt, they told him its not ready and to check status online and when it changes to say "ready to pay" then he needs to go back to malaysia embassy in cairo pay the fee and they will give it to him that same day once he pats the fees...and we're still waiting for that before we send AOS & IV packages ?

Alright.... 10 more days until my 30th business day since IV package scan date. Time has actually been flying by for some reason right now, so the next 10 days should be no different. :) Will be receiving good news soon!

P.S. I'm trying out this whole positivity thing. I've decided that I can either be sad and worry.... or I can just put a fake smile on my face and try to forget about all this nonsense... and either way, it's going to take a long time. So I am choosing the fake smile for now!

P.P.S. I'm also choosing to pretend that the 60 day letter thing never happened. Ignorance is bliss! :goofy:

My husband needed a certificate of good conduct from Malaysia and we requested it online on July 16th (my husband is egyptian & lived in malaysia 2yrs & is now in egypt) A few days (5-7days) after we submitted everything.... The application status changed to "Certificate is ready for collection" so we assumed it was ready but when my husband went to the Malaysia embassy in Cairo and even had 20Malaysian ringitt, they told him its not ready and to check status online and when it changes to say "ready to pay" then he needs to go back to malaysia embassy in cairo pay the fee and they will give it to him that same day once he pats the fees...and we're still waiting for that before we send AOS & IV packages ?

Sorry to hear of this heartbreaking delay, especially considering the horrendous delays still to come after submitting IV docs and after CC for Egypt applicants.

Please join me in calling on everyone waiting idly to get their IV fees unlocked to get proactive in preparing the documents and information necessary for IV packets and DS-260 forms. Collecting them could take weeks and weeks!

No police certificate is needed for Mexico. I recently spoke with multiple people who had interviews in the past few weeks/months and they did not send one to the NVC, nor did they ask for it at the interview. :)

But but but but I just clicked on the link in your signature wahhh!

I will go check my timeline to make sure I didn't make the same mistake on there with 260/261 eeek! I have seen both those forms and they sure are very different!

Edit: I don't see a 260 option on the timeline.. there's "receive ds-261 and aos bill" then there's "submit 261" but no "submit 260"..

12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.
8/6/2014: AOS and IV packages mailed, completed and submitted DS-260.
8/7/2014: AOS and IV packages delivered to NVC.
8/8/2014: AOS and IV packages put into the system (scanned).
9/20/2014: Get the 60-day email.

I called NVC & rep said there is some corrections need in your AOS. we will send you e-mail in couple of days.... :(

That means we will get checklist. :(

very very long process

I am May 2013 filers.... I don't know when will get I get visa?

So no case completes for July 7th packages. Hmm. Nvc might take little more time.

June 26 receive date. July 2 scan date.. my case is not complete yet...
