Not sure if you were answered, but all I've read/heard is the certificates MUST be sent to NVC for review first.

I am in Malaysia, and the certificate took far less time than anticipated. That may differ for applicants out of the country. Ours was ready about 3 weeks after submitting a request online.

Thanks Savagechair, She submitted certificate request online today. I wish i had known that certificate is required for each country you stay for more than 1yr. I hope certificate wont take more than a month. HOPEFULLY WILL TAKE ONLY 3 WEEKS LIKE YOURS!!!!!

Omg :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: That's awesome!

And yes, doooo it! The more people on the new layout, the better the time estimates will be for every time tick!

Done! Hope I did it right. It was weird to go down to fill in the submission of DS-261 date without filling in the other two boxes above.

I hope my parents-in-law send their documents to us superfast quicktimes rapido! Since maybe we can pay our AOS bill soon :)

I also didn't realise that it's not usually the case that the DS-261 is immediately available so I guess we got lucky there too!

It is now saying that very very scary 'case in process of termination' thing and I am taking deep calming breaths because jeez that's a scary thing to be faced with! Lucky I read Saylin's amazing wiki. I swear I sleep clutching that thing like a security blanket!

Same here. I was able to get case number and invoice number the same day. I completed DS-261 late that night( last Friday). I couldn't help but kept going back to check to see if I can pay the bill. and OOPS, I did it. I opened the ds-261 the next day. the message almost freaked me out. But I already saw in the wiki that's normal. Thanks Saylin.

If you didn't, you'll know soon enough. I now issue checklists of my own if you don't fill out the spreadsheet properly ;)

I'm so very sorry I know how disheartening this is. But when you call next time ask to speak to a supervisor tell her/him every time you call you get a different scan date she/he should be able to fix the problem. Good luck to you and chin up we are all here for you and know exactly what your feeling. consoling2.gif

Thank you soloenta! VJ is the only place where I feel a sense of community cuz everywhere else I'm sort of an outcast going through this process. I wish you and the rest of the members here a super deluxe good luck, if such a thing exists lol

I am not an LLc but am self employed.

I wrote a letter on letterhead attesting to my income.

I also provided 4 recent invoices.

I highlighted in my bank account the amounts that agree with the invoices to show ongoing income.

Now, I don't have AOS approval yet, but that's what I did. I also provided an accountant letter, and a cover letter to explain my income. I felt I'd rather fully cover myself with documentation of current income than roll the dice and not give them proof.

thanks for responding. I have my accounting writing a letter for me with his letterhead testifying that I am the CEO and what the projected income for this year will be. Hopefully that will seal the deal. Meanwhile, lets wait for what VJ members have to say about that.

It'll be good practice :dancing:

Okay, so it appears you filled out the request form for my old layout, and I don't send checklists for that. So, you did end up making a mistake. Be very careful with form numbers.

Remember folks, DS-261 =/= DS-260.

I'll add you anyways. I'm lenient on my old layout :P
