I have the EXACT same dilemma, I got my transcript on Friday after requesting it on June 14. Have you decided yet what to do? I'm leaning towards sending it in, but scared

When I was unsure and we know NVC is iffy, I sent an e-mail to the Embassy in Cairo with an attachment of the document and asked if it was the correct one. They usually answer in two to three days unlike NVC weeks. I put the e-mail from the Embassy with the document in question and sent it off.

I've opted to not send it in based on another member who said he got AOS approval on full return (vs transcripts)

Sometimes it's due to the address having to be put in a certain way, and others who are abroad had issues obtaining them due to the foreign address.

This was true for me.

The IRS online system differs in what it allows in addresses/how the input is, from the actual IRS records. Some of us have "odd" foreign addresses. Mine has a comma and slash in the street, for ex. And the placement of my postal code is odd, too. All this made it impossible for me to print transcripts online but I could still do the mail request.

Well, I almost hate to say it, please don't be mad at me VJers.. but we got our case number and invoice number by email today, is that normal?! So weird but anyway we filled in the DS-261 now just waiting for our AOS Bill to come up to be paid.

Quick question. I put my husband down as my agent but they will still send stuff to both of us, won't they? No big deal if it just goes to him as we live together anyway and the US Bank accounts are his so payments will need to come from him, which is why I put him down.

Why can't I get through to NVC! I've tried over 30 times :'(

Redial is your friend because everyone is calling all over the world you have to redial, busy and redial again as quickly as you can until you get YOU HAVE REACHED THE NATIONAL VISA CENTER

Finally got through, waited 40 mins to speak for 2 mins. Why do they keep changing the dates for when the documents were received :/

Every rep gives me a different date for my packages I don't know from where to start my 60 day count :cry:

I was being all positive, but now I just wanna cry. Why do I even bother calling them for, I should just quietly live through this :cry:

I'm so very sorry I know how disheartening this is. But when you call next time ask to speak to a supervisor tell her/him every time you call you get a different scan date she/he should be able to fix the problem. I also didn't realise that it's not usually the case that the DS-261 is immediately available so I guess we got lucky there too!

It is now saying that very very scary 'case in process of termination' thing and I am taking deep calming breaths because jeez that's a scary thing to be faced with! Lucky I read Saylin's amazing wiki. I swear I sleep clutching that thing like a security blanket!
