I agree, NVC should be first come first serve and once the DS261 has been filled out the submitted documents should be reviewed with priority over processing new cases. I understand the original wait in line but going to the back of the line for each step is a bit much. boo

OK. So I, along with almost all of you, have received the email stating it's going to take 60 days bla bla bla....

The only thing that is suspicious about mine is that it says from June 26, even though our DS-261 was first submitted on June 6 and then "re-submitted" when I accidentally clicked on it on June 16.

Did anyone else here receive an email with a questionable received date on it like I did?

I am calling now to find out what is going on.

We emailed our IV docs on June 18th but the email says June 17th

I have yet to receive the email, but I'm sure it's coming and I'm afraid each time I click refresh on my inbox.

It has happened a couple of times with other people where their DS-261 took ten or more days to "reach" NVC via an instant electronic network.

I guess what happens is when we submit it, it hits an "inbox" where a worker then has to allocate it somewhere and for some people it took one day whereas others it took ten.

Obviously they allocated mine to the recycle bin.

Mine is not different, they just chose to go by the actual "received" date (when the FedEX guy delivered it) rather than the "scan" date (which is a week later).

Not really lucky. I'm waiting on a checklist to be cleared. My DS-261 was submitted 5/7/14. My date on the resubmitted checklist form is 6/17.

Lucky, meaning that they are counting the 60 business days from the date that it was received in the mail and not the scan date, as you stated it said in your email.
