No wonder, just saw your profile photo is a cat It would be actually amazing to have someone working at NVC or USCIS come here on VJ and do AMA. A Visa officer from Lagos consulate does this on following link.

Not necessarily...it is a simple input/output equation. If the input increases 100% (now 200%) and the output only increases 17% (one day) the pipe gets is still overflowing.

A couple of months ago NVC worked OT for a very brief moment in time and the frames sped up. Since then, they have not been working OT and the rumor just won't die. The length it takes to review documents has doubled since May, if they were working OT, I seriously doubt we'd be looking at a potential 60 business day window.

That link is great, definitely wish things like that existed for earlier stages of the process. For me the absolute worst thing about the whole ordeal wasn't just having no control, but having no expectations set. There was no logic to the madness and no answer to the huge number of questions everyone has when backlogs occur. Peace of mind is at least a small comfort.

Just filled and submitted DS 261 (petitoner) on behalf of my wife (principal applicant), I hope NVC doesn't raise an issue by me submitting it. I know petitioner can fill it out but you never know with NVC when they change their mind.

Fee payment portal is showing "termination" statement, I know it's a good news AOS invoice is being generated.

Got an email from NVC and I foolishly thought it's THEeee email bsince the 30 business days are over but instead I got this (

We are currently receiving an increased number of approved petitions from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. As a result, we are experiencing increased review times for documents received.

We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents. We will notify you when we review your documents. )

So I have to wait till September 9th for the stupid 60 business days .... I see people getting approved who haven't wait half the time we did .... This is rediclious

Wow!!! It seems like lots of people are getting this 60days email. Am yet to receive the email.

OK. So I, along with almost all of you, have received the email stating it's going to take 60 days bla bla bla....

The only thing that is suspicious about mine is that it says from June 26, even though our DS-261 was first submitted on June 6 and then "re-submitted" when I accidentally clicked on it on June 16.

Did anyone else here receive an email with a questionable received date on it like I did?

I am calling now to find out what is going on.
