We did talk to a supervisor but that wasn't very helpful she just said she'll review it . It's been 4 days now and you would think they will be quick with fixing a mistake they did but I guess that isn't the case. I just don't want to get my hopes up expecting something this coming week.

our package was received by the NVC on jjuly 22 now we got a letter saying reviewing processing times are taking longer thant 30 days that means 60 !! due to the high flow of visas someone kill me

Oh I'm so very sorry, communications is the key and why is your husband so upset? Doesn't he know this is out of your hands and your doing your very best? Maybe he's feeling insecure and you need to have a good talk with him even if it means flying out to see him. Not sure what state your in but he's in Central America not that far really. I hope and pray you can go if possible to visit him. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Hi All - I'm excited I got notification to pay the IV fee yesterday. My DS-261 was submitted on 1 July (but then I stupidly clicked on the link again and it resent it on the 7 July). Exactly 30 business days! I was really surprised because I received the 60 days email for my AOS packet that was scanned on 9 July so I had assumed that I was in for a really long wait before I would be able to pay the IV fee. I've moved to the States with my children (so they can start school with their peers at the end of the month) and I am finding it hard being a 'single' parent to three kids. Anyone else in the same boat?

Congratulations on getting your IV fees ready to pay and if nothing else you'll undestand your wife now. I hope the rest of this journey proves an easy one for you.

Not sure what to tell you, is your wife your Sponsor? Do you have a co-sponsor? If so then your wife and the co-sponsor would be the answer. Someone MoBar anyone correct me if I'm wrong. I think we need a little more information, at least I do.

Got a nice letter in the mail today.. (unexpected). My wife and I barely check our mail... but there was a letter from the embassy to say our interview was on September 5th 2014 now!

Has anybody else received a checklist for the marriage certificate (although they did sent the right one) right before they were supposed to get a CC?

Did you call? They requested documents from me that I had sent so I called and it was a false checklist. You really need to call if you haven't. I'll be praying it's a false one.

Hey guys. A little help here. So my i-130 was approved JULY 25. On August 5, 2014 I got an email saying it was shipped to NVC. After calling them again yesterday which was the 16th they still have no case on file. How long will it take to receive case and case number??

It took 23 days for your I-130 to be approved. what's the secret?

My I-130 was approved july 14th, shipped July 22nd, and was arrived Aug 4th, and then was assigned # the 15th.

So, it took 9 business days to arrived and 9 business day to assign a number for the case and invoice.

You should expect somewhere around that.

I have a question about i-864a. If my husband's father is the joint sponsor and his wife files i-864a, and they file tax jointly, what amount does she put in for her tax returns? The total earned between them both since it is a joint return? Or her own personal income? So confusing.

She should put the total income they earned because they filed their tax jointly.
