DOES SOMEONE KNOWS WHERE CAN I APPLY FOR AN ILLEGAL VISA I COULD USE THE BENEFITS! hating this process more and more everyday. my marriage situation sucks right now we don't even talk and we fought and haven't talk for 2 days now ! theres no trust no interest coming from him he doesn't even shows he care if he loses me!

our package was received by the NVC on jjuly 22 now we got a letter saying reviewing processing times are taking longer thant 30 days that means 60 !! due to the high flow of visas someone kill me

i m following my sister in law coz she is one week ahead from us.. whenever she get mail so we get it one week after her.... so she got cc yesterday.. now i hope i will get it on monday or the next week inshallah

I understand what u r saying totally. We had the worst luck in this process at every stage. It's like the same when people call me lucky for getting IV invoice 2 weeks earlier lol! (It's ok Austin u can still say that ) but I m happy that they atleast let u get ur corrected form to interview and not a checklist. Hopefully u will be with ur wife real soon and forget this nightmare! Male beneficiaries have a scary AP flag on their head as well and I pray that u don't have to go thru it!

NVC received our civil document package on July 8th. I spoke with a knucklehead at NVC yesterday and was told that it would take 60 days or more to review my documents. I asked what was there process. He said that files are worked randomly. I was like hell naw. I have been in touch with Senator Barbara Miluski's office for a while and was told to fill out paperwork to give them permission to help me with my case. I faxed them the docs yesterday. I pray they can help. I am getting this process done now.

Yea, I was kinda excited. I called and the guy told me that it shows my docs were received cuz I asked him about the status of my AOS (Aug 8) and DS-261 (July 28) and he was like they are both under review. I know its kinda early, hope he's right.

A rep told me, "They're (my documents) being reviewed NOW." Imagine how excited that must've got me. It was only two days since I had sent them in.

called NVC and the guy told me that you have a minor mistake in your AOS so we are not going to cheklist you for this and you will have your case complete in few days.. so you should correct whatever we want you to correct then bring it with you to interview....... i m feeling too much relieve....... Thanks Allah

Do they review the IV application (Ds 260) at the same time as the IV package?

They will accept only original or certified (same as original given by issuing authority).NVC will NOT accept photocopy or notarized copy as original document.

Can yourself or someone please provide clarification on the wording in the sample cover letter Saylin has in her wiki for the IV Package? It says,

"

• Certified copy of the birth certificate of beneficiary

• Certified copy of the marriage certificate

• Original police clearance certificate

Scanned copies of documents submitted are exact copies of unaltered documents and I understand that I will be required to submit original documents to an Immigration or Consular officer at the interview."

I took "scanned copies" to mean copies of the certified or original would be acceptable. Am I wrong in how I'm reading this?

it takes 3 seconds to print the transcripts from the website. If I were you, I'd send them with another AOS barcode coversheet. I would bet you're getting a checklist. You don't have to send W2's with the transcript HOWEVER, the embassy asked me to bring mine to the interview. But NVC didn't want it . and I only sent my 2013 tax transcript . I never provided 2012 /2011 income amounts not even on the AOS.

Interesting. Did you file tax return for 2012 and 2011?

I'm gathering as much info as possible on that subject. I had a low income for the 2011 tax year, but above the poverty guideline for the 2012 and I don't want it to show at all. So, I was hoping for info that would give me a peace of mind and convince me that I could put n/a or none for the 2011 and 2012 w/o a problem (checklist).

Still trying to weasel out of sending the original BC, I see.

"scanned copies" there refer to the extra copies you include with the originals sent to NVC so the Consulate could return your originals to you at the conclusion of the interview. They also refer to passport copies.

There's no question about that. Truth be told, getting certified copies will take time, and that's something I ran out of patience for a long time ago.

I hear you. Kuwait birth certificates include the hand written immunization records as well, so they are irreplaceable. I kept them and ordered and sent duplicates from the Births Registry instead.

One year but you should e-mail your Embassy and ask them that way you have proof and can save it.

March of 2013 here I know the feeling but not always easy to do but great advise.

I am March 2013 too but I don't remember seeing you in March 2013 filers thread.

It's my second anniversary too in January and I was thinking since this process took so long to complete, why not enter US after two years of marriage to qualify for the 10-year green card. I am assuming we might get a November interview the way things are moving, that is if there's no checklist. So it would be better to wait two months and then enter US.

That's a good idea! Like Saylin already said, you will save a good amount of money and if both of you are willing to wait a little more, why not?

Wooooow tnx Bootylicious..... Am so relief, Am so scared of getting checklist because they wrote on the Police certificate that its valid for 3months. I wonder why they wrote 3months on the certificate and then embassy says 1year.

I think with NVC backlog they are increasing validity of police certificate. I got my police certificate in March 2014 after we got NOA2 and validity is mentioned as 6 months on certificate but some days back I checked my consulate's website and it stated police certificate is valid for one year.
