Actually, if you think about it, what if all of the excessive phone calls are actually damaging their productivity? It's a Conspiracy Keanu thing going on in my mind now... I'm sure the people answering phones aren't the same that review it, right? However, if they are and they need to be on the phone for 17 hours of the day then there really is a problem, because I know when I call it's almost always a busy signal. I want an NVC person to do an 'IAMA' on Reddit ;o

The NVC reps answering the phone are different from those reviewing documents. Their phone line this week have been extremely difficult for me to get thru, I got thru after over 50 redials.

When we got NOA 2 nearly 2 months ago I thought that we would likely have a September interview so we set our minds to me attending the interview. Now, it looks likely that an interview in December is barely possible. So, last night we decided that instead of attending the interview I'll just head on across in late September, early October for a visit. Ever since we decided that it's like a weight has been lifted. Just knowing when we get to be together is so great.

I really wanted to be there for the interview because I know it is stressful and I wanted to be there for her, even if I wasn't in the room. But, now I think that just getting to see each other is the priority.

Can anyone else share if they are planning on attending the interview or not?

Just paid the AoS fee Now I have questions. AoS can be emailed in, right? Do we have to send in an enrollment email for EP? I've read that people have but others say you don't need to now. We have everything, except his employment letter for his current income, ready to go! We keep everything in dropbox together <3

I still haven't gotten that 60 day email but just received a checklist? Almost gave me a heart attack, swear to God!

Hubby is on hold, but was told yesterday when he called to expect a false one for the "mysterious" piece of mail they received from us on 6/19 (probably our attorney's G28, can't think of anything else).

The checklist asks for my birth certificate, marriage certificate and my PCC. Sigh.

I think it's up to the officer. The embassy will let you in as a USC so then it's the petitioner letting the interviewer know that the petitioner is present and the interviewer deciding if they care or not. I recently had a friend that attended the interview in Colombia, the officer never said a word to him but he just stood there in the room. I've heard of others (on VJ) that were separated and questioned and others that were interviewed together.

Congrats on the new job! I think it's totally normal to have some bad days during the 'adjustment period' after POE. Fingers crossed he gets a great job soon and makes some really cool friends You guys will get through this... together

That said, although I lived in the US for a few years, I am still pretty nervous about moving back there. Don't get me wrong, I am super excited to finally start a life with my hubby, but... still sooo stressed!

Yeah, it's such a big life change, I can't imagine not being stressed! I give my husband and all other beneficiary types here on VJ all the credit in the world. It takes so much strength, bravery, and love to do what you're doing. I do hope he'll be comfortable and happy here in time even if it's never "home", but honestly if it doesn't happen we'll just live somewhere else. Anywhere we can share a happy life together. Even if that means another visa process

It's possible to start working right away on a spousal visa, but the job search definitely takes time. We only started in earnest a week or two ago when we got his resume and cover letter done, but hopefully the search goes well from here Financially we're fine if it takes a while, but emotionally it takes a toll on him to not be working. Understandable, I know I'd feel the same in his position.

60 business days seems about right.. 30 business days come.. "Oh no, it hasn't been reviewed! Let me put in a supervisor review! But that will take another 30 business days!" NVC logic.

It was a false one They just reviewed a G28 form our attorney submitted on 6/19. All good! For now, at least

I did send them all these certificates. My IV package was scanned in on 6/30.

Basicallllly, I don't need to enroll then? ;o I read it before I swear! I just have a bad memory, or maybe I never fully digested what I read because I wasn't there yet! Uhm, your guide says 10MB but the State.gov website says 5MB or below is best. Ugh, the excitement is sickening ;-;

From what I read, literally just 5 seconds ago, everything needs to be PDF and formatted as such "[Case Number]_[Name of Person]_[File type].pdf" or "ABC1993109909_MandeeMoose_Passport.pdf"

Something to that effect.
