so after hanging on this thread for months and reading the wiki, you sent the tax returns WITHOUT the W2's & 1099's? The Sumner's got checklisted for W2's that didn't even exist....

If I were in your situation, I would have sent the W2's the second I realized I screwed up. Have you been sitting around all this time hoping you won't get a checklist? " so let's see what happens now"

Sometimes things are outta ur control. I already mentioned I m the beneficiary and my husband wasn't believing the fact that tax returns can't be sent alone. I got to the point where I got tired of arguing and said that fine send whatever u want. That's the reason I have been so anxious all these 45 days because I know what's coming. I realized the second he sent as well that he screwed it up but I couldn't do anything about it. U have everything in ur hands ur case in different.

Hi dilmera, so to be clear, my husband asked for his tax return from this website: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript

We can that without W2's and 1099's?

thank you so much for your help cause on their pdf to explain how to fill the form it is very confusing (at a point they say that w2 are not needed if we have IRS transcript, but at the end of the pdf they say to join W2s...

It is confusing but if you're getting transcripts of your returns that is all you need to send, and it is prefered by NVC. That's what I did. Ours isn't reviewed yet but I think that part should be fine.

I really feel Depressed After calling NVC today morning. It took me just less than 5 minutes to reach a live agent. I told him my Uscis case number LIN********** . He told me that they have received the case as of Aug 6 2014 and that they will take 60 business days to enter it into the system.

Thats too long .. and after that again time consuming process. I feel so Damn Depressed. This Separation is killing me!!!!

Exactly. I know it would look stupid to some people that inspite of knowing what's coming we are still praying and hoping. But only who face it can understand. I Have EXACTLY the same situation as urs! He is just too hard headed lol. I gave up in the end and now am preparing myself for nov or dec interview when I could have easily gotten an oct one. It's sad but fact.

Infact he did listen to me and ordered transcripts when he couldn't assess through the site. But look at irony of fate that our sponsor which is his sister had something wrong with her transcripts when they reached her by mail so he got frustrated and sent his transcripts but his sister tax returns only lol.

Don't feel so depressed it's not taking that long lately. Infact that's the one Thing they have improved with. U might get ur case number by the end of this month.

Thanks for understanding Bos! And I have been soooo frustrated lately due to this thing that I can't control inspite of knowing well what needs to be done. Sometimes I feel it's better not to know everything really.

Yes I think unfortunately we both are gonna checklisted. My only hope is that since they are sponsors and they were not needed in the first place we might be allowed to bring transcript to the interview but I know even that's not happening. But yes God can overcome any hinderance so we should keep praying

You misunderstood my wiki. As I said in it, you have TWO options for sending tax information:

1. tax transcripts (which are preferred)

OR

2. tax returns, W2s, 1099s, schedules, worksheets, etc (basically everything sent to the IRS)

If you only sent 1099s and W2s, and no tax returns or tax transcripts, you WILL be getting a checklist.

You can't send only 1099s and W2s by themselves, if you're not using tax transcripts you have to send the tax return (e.g., form 1040) + W2s + 1099s. Was the tax return sent in addition to those income documents?

Calm down please don't cry. See either u can send transcripts OR u can send tax returns WITH w2 and 1099. Ur husband didn't send returns or transcripts and only w2 and 1099 right? See everything happens for a reason. Maybe we lose 2 months here becasue our husbands didn't listen to us but maybe they will believe us in future. We lost all this time because of government so just near one more month becasue of husband lol. That's how I looked at it. We just can't control it so don't shed tears on it. I have been frustrated beyond words becasue I have read wiki like ten times and know it almost by heart. But I can't do anything about it.
