This immigration process can be so unpredictable. This is my 4th month with NVC, hopefully to have a case complete by September and interview date November {I will reschedule for October date if there's a free slot at the Consulate}.

At the rate NVC is going you might get interview date for December.

Thanks for the advice..one more thing..my wife and daughter coming to my country next month so if the iv is available can we send it from my countr"bangladesh"..us it ok to send further documents from here??

Thanks Stackeria! You're response has been super helpful. Yes we'll look into express service for the UK PC. I'll also enquire in the Australian/NZ forums about this.

On the ACRO website (http://www.acro.police.uk/police_certificates.aspx) if you look at the english form, it mentions two things you might want to consider:

1- Premium Service (2 business days to print cert) - 80GBP (as opposed to 45GBP for standard 10 biz day service)

2- Optional International Courier Delivery - 48GBP which I assume gets you express delivery to Oz.

Personally, I would send the AOS now and wait until you have a complete package to send the IV.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Just received email with interview instructions today! It is remarkable how much difference comes of simply having certainty about when this process will proceed forward. We got an interview date of 29 September at 8:30AM at the London Embassy.

A quick recap:

  • Last scan date: 1 July
  • Case Complete: 8 August
  • Interview Letter: 14 August
  • Interview Date: 29 September @ 0830
As an aside, we are very grateful to everyone in the VisaJourney community that has shared their experiences, offered support, and provided invaluable information throughout this process. We wouldn't have made it without you all. And, forever thanks to Saylin and Bdrew, who provided essential information and support. Will keep everyone posted on what comes next.

Did you have an expedite because I see scan dates around first week of July getting case completes now.

 

 

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?
6/19/2014: USCIS case status change, "On June 19, 2014, we shipped this case..."
7/1/2014: Case received at NVC.
7/14/2014: NVC case number assigned.
8/1/2014: AOS and IV fees invoiced.
8/2/2014: AOS and IV fees paid.
8/5/2014: AOS and IV fees status changed to paid.

Yes you can send documents from anywhere in the world to NVC. Just make sure you use a reliable and secure courier service.

Now I am troubled with "NVC is aware of this process " should i send along with the civil documents a letter reminding them that the Greek authority send the penal record to the Embassy just in case the person that will review the packet is not aware of that ? :rolleyes:

Lol yes I knew it was mostly referring to me :) I m mainly worried about 1099 and w2 missing with tax returns. So if I don't get a checklist I will be the happiest person. Any day now.

You could have sent in transcripts, it would have been easier. I think I saw someone get a checklist for missing w2.

I didn't write N/A on any blank spaces and my AOS was reviewed and accepted. The only place where people get checklist is form 1-864EZ at the address section that says if its different from residential address. If left blank, nvc will issue a checklist so Its better to write N/A at that section.

With NVC, you never know. Checklist seems to be their favorite word.

Yes I know jmsumner got it :( our sponsor ordered the transcripts but when they arrived they found something wrong in that. So husband sent only their returns since we had already waited for so long and didn't want to waste more time. So let's see what happens now.

I have a question which I m sure will sound pretty weird :P since I have mentioned before that we didn't need a sponsor because my husband's pay was way above the guidelines but he was worried that his 2012 and 2011 taxes were not filed so we would have an issue. So now since we just sent returns from the sponsor and when they give us a checklist can we just ask them to mail us the sponsor's documents back to us and forward AOS without it to the embassy since it was never needed In the first place? Or will they think we have gone crazy suggesting this? :P has anyone done this before?

I guess so.

We were on this early. We paid for the standard service mailed to my wife's UK home with one additional certificate (45 + 6 GBP). I believe it took longer than advertised, maybe about a month. Presumably, the premium service is faster. Pay special attention to the photo endorsement requirements as they are rather strict.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.
