Can this get any worse.

Took my son to swim training at 4.30 am went back to bed got up again at 7.00 am to collect him. Got up too quick, blacked out, smashed head and face against bedside cabinet and broke arm. Am in a backslab for a week before they cast it. Am in so much pain. Can't drive but am going to HAVE to. Children need to get to school.

Hubby spoke to lawyer. They have suggested they call Consulate and see if we can get file sent down from NVC, set an interview and I take this Singapore Police Certificate and original Birth Certificate - because they didn't like my Adoption one - to interview. Don't know how that will go. Can't think straight. Feel dizzy from the drugs. Am so over this. Just want to cry. Sorry for being so down. I am usually really upbeat. Will be back to my old self in a couple of days.

Looks like they are working on July. Our AOS checklist was scanned 22nd July.

Oh my goodness!!! That is terrible. Get better soon!

Good luck with the consulate, but when I contacted them (Sydney) to ask if they could help me they said they cannot do anything until NVC forwards the file, so I think you have to request expedite from NVC directly.

I think you should be granted expedite, could this blackout have anything to do with all of the STRESS?! I think so! If your doctor agrees, maybe they could put something in writing so you can request an expedite for medical reasons.

Have you got anyone close to you that can help with the school runs? Or does the school offer a bus service? You shouldn't risk driving if you can avoid it. Big hugs to you my friend x

What a horrible accident... Thank goodness you didn't get a serious head injury/concussion!

Please take it slow and let the kids simmer for a while re extra-curricular activities. The quicker you're up and about, the quicker you can take care of them properly.

Investigate all possibilities for the blackout. I had a similar spat of severe dizziness back in March/April. Doctors were quick to point at my low blood pressure. Checking old records, it turned out my blood pressure was always in the 100-110/70-75. Turned out the culprit was lack of salt intake due to strenuous exercising.

Thanks MoBar65

Doctors did all tests this morning and I am good. Just think I got out of bed a little too fast from what I think was a deep sleep.

Kids have been great today. I kept them off school and they have been really looking after me.

Oh, No! :crying: I hope you get better soon!

Is your lawyer applying for an expedite? I thought you had to send an email to NVC to apply for an expedite? I think bdrew mentioned that NVC can't pull out any received packages so you'll have to wait for your AOS checklist to be reviewed by NVC even though the embassy/consulate sets up an interview. Of course, I don't really know exactly how that works.

Wishing you a speedy recovery (and speedy case processing, of course)! :star:

Hi AustinCanada

Yes I saw that from bdrew yesterday. I am sure she/you are right. I am going to send this to my husband. Don't want to pay more money to lawyer for nothing. Would rather just sit and wait it all out.

Am being waited on by the children!

Hi Amanda

Thanks for this advice. AustinCanada also just said pretty much same thing. I am going to copy all this to my husband. Don't want to waste lawyer money anymore.

Am going to sort out school run etc. once I have a cast on and pain goes it will. Be much easier.

Will email you.

Hugs

Oh msc you poor thing that is so terrible :( No advice from me obviously but big hugs.

Went and ordered my police certificate today. It was a very painless process with a lovely polite staff member at the front desk at the cop shop. :)

She said that they CAN send it to the consulate for me but that they don't normally, so I took her at her word and it will be posted to me I suppose? Worse comes to worst, when/if I get an interview date I can ask them to fwd a copy to the consulate I suppose.

Hi SharksBelow

What State do you live in? I live in SA and got a National fingerprint Police Certificate. They sent it to me and I included it in my IV package. Then I was check listed for a QLD Certificate as I lived there for a year 15 years ago. QLD police were really nice. They cannot provide a fingerprint Certificate because I don't reside there now. Am getting a Certificate of No Criminal Conviction and will take it to interview. Silly as they already have a national one.

Sounds like you are getting organised which is good..

I just called NVC, apparently they have not opened any of my documents, Im EP filer, and they told me they rec'd my IV twice, one is 6/29, and one is 7/2. and I should have 6/29 scan date. That's what I thought....but they keep giving me different days each time I call... boo... nothing new and was asked to wait 60 days....it's b.s. and I told them i heard there were a lot people whose scan dates are july and got case cc already.. and she was like 'well I'm sorry, due to the volume of the documents we received blah blah blah, she was basically reading off the 60 day email i got...."

I guess i will just have to wait.... I'm just so scared that i will get another checklist, that's like another 60 days....damn it! so just praying....

Ohh u r EP! They are so unpredictable with EP. Sometimes it gets fast and sometimes slow. But I m praying u get a cc either today or Tomm. This Is complete non sense really.

I m so sorry! My heart goes out to u! I think since u got out if bed and blacked out that's typical orthostatic hypotension. Like ur bp got low when u stood up. Has it happened before? Maybe u were stressed out or feeling weak. Although it's not that much of a serious condition but maybe still u should try for getting an expedite. I talked to Nvc operator yesterday they told me that when expedite gets approved we send the whole file to consulate and set up interview scheduling. Or maybe even if they want to review documents themselves u wouldn't waste a month with interview. U r doing too much alone. Go for it!

Mine is June 25th...still not reviewed

I wonder how they review the packages. Maybe each reviewer just go the mail room and pull out some packages from the stack, maybe that's why some dates are been skipped.

I pray you hear something good this week. Fingers crossed for you, Amanda and Msc

Okay.

Last night I was thinking about this whole process. I know that people who filed recently got approved within a month, why within few days. But we ( 2013) filers we had to wait for more than 5 months some even 10 months.

Ok. Next is our NVC. Most of us got approval from Jan2014 to April 2014... ( Mostly filers May 2013 - Dec 2013).So from May 2014 Nvc started to get applications 3 times more than they used to receive...but June 2014 is the peak month ( according to the scanned days they took). But after July 3rd week they received the docs and scanned within 2 days and now its less than 2 days I guess.

So, Nvc will be back to normal after they finish scan docs July 15-20.

And I am sure peoplewill get case complets within 2 weeks... hmmm?? May be 1 week who knows.

( Excuse my sentence structure lol ).

This process is like a natural disaster. We are facing it. But people come next will never know

Spending several months at USCIS and then several months with NVC, its really not fair. Keeping us away from our spouse, I wonder why NVC is in existence.
