Well Team I called NVC just for a check-in (not expecting anything) and talked to Olivia. She was very nice. Of course the DS-261 and AOS packages haven't been reviewed... 60 days, they're working on it, blah, blah, blah.

What I really wanted to ask was if there was a benefit/negative in sending the IV package early with the AOS scan sheet. She said no, just to change the address the ATTN: DR instead of CMR. I asked if it would help and she said it depends on the person reviewing the package. She said some of them will review the packages right away and some will wait until the DS-260 has been submitted and reviewed I suppose this makes some sense, looking at the civil docs and the IV application together. But I don't know... I would probably hear a different story from a different rep if I called again today.

I know we've talked about this before, and I still think I will wait until 30 business days to send it (maybe), but what do you guys think? The only benefit it see is getting MAYBE getting the civil docs reviewed (and finding out about checklists if any) a little sooner. I know its all wishful thinking...but a gal can hope, right?

Yes. Unfortunately, the rudeness and the 60 days are both pretty normal. Although, I have had pretty good luck with nice reps. Even when I got Joy once, she was nice enough!

Maybe you spoke with unhappy JOY. Yea NVC is no longer quoting 30 business days again, their new quote now is 60 days to review any document.

Am also waiting for last 16 months..what to do?

I am afraid nothing much to do except wait, keep yourself busy and learn to cope with it.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.

4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.

I have a question:

I called NVC when my AOS bill was available and asked what do I have to do for electronic processing. He said pay the fees and send AOS package through e-mail to NVCElectronic@state.gov and will be be opt-in to EP.

I have send the package on AUG 11 and today when I called to confirm if my package is received they said you have to first send a separate e-mail to OPT-IN first and once you receive the confirmation then you have to send AOS package. I'm not sure why I'm getting 2 conflicting information from NVC reps ?

Which process is correct? Please help me so that I can take the right action.

Thanks !

hi guys , is necessary include a copy of the letter ( cheklist) when you sent a response to NVC ? because until now i don't receive the aos checklist email , and i only have the aos coversheet and the i864 form . I called to nvc the last thursday and they told me about my checklist and also told me that I can send it only with the aos cover sheet , but I'm not sure if it is correct or not ? please someone help me :(

Why not call NVC again so as to be sure. I hope the NVC rep you spoke with didn't give you a false news about you having checklist. I don't trust NVC reps

I just spoke to NVC and asked: are sept interview appointments scheduling closed?

She replied: no one told me that, please call back next week.

wow...such a difference in information they give. It really is criminal what they are doing to us. And just imagine, they are giving illegals plane tickets and bus tickets to get to different places in America...how bout they give my wife a damn plane ticket and bring her to me? We are really getting screwed here.

I just called to find out what's going on with our DS-261 and why it STILL has not been approved yet (and the IV fee not invoiced). This is the 2nd representative that has told me that they will notify their supervisor to have it taken care of. I then asked Penny if she will be telling her direct supervisor today and she proceeded to tell me that "no, it will be put on a spreadsheet and whichever supervisor gets to it first will take care of it." Soooo tired of this sh!t dragging on and on with so many promises but so few results....

Hang in there, Jeff. It seems like all you can do is wait at this point since you've made more than enough calls on this issue. :clock:

Meanwhile, I hope they approve your AOS package this week or next week. It's not a big deal if you get a checklist since you can send a checklist document with your IV package since you haven't sent your IV package yet. That's the only "positive" thing about waiting for the IV fee invoice if you get a checklist on the AOS package. It won't delay your timeline. :star:
