I think that an increased load in March, April and May would just now be getting into the heart of the NVC process and so the "increased workload" would still hold true. What I'm hoping is that the bulk of the workload was indeed from approved petitions in March, April and May which would lead me to believe that NVC will actually start to pick up speed in the next few weeks.

You're an optimist! I really hope NVC has hired more people today (Aug 1)!

It would make sense that there might be fewer people on VJ if the I-130s are getting approved at a reasonable pace. I found this place as a result of researching the I-130 backlog (there was a letter writing campaign mentioned on trackitt that led me here!).

I think more people will pop up in the NVC stage because that's where the delays are and with delays come questions, questions lead to Google searches which lead to discovering VJ!

It's also possible that more people are on immigration Facebook groups rather than Visa Journey.

I just don't like to trust what the government (in this case NVC) tells us without analyzing data.

As we know, they weren't honest about the backlog at the USCIS stage.

A checklist would be not writing what is on the tax transcript. Are you currently making more than the poverty guidelines in the USA or do you have a joint sponsor?

Except I think there are still several of us who received their NOA2 in those months still here (May 20th, for me) BUT, more importantly, I love the optimism. Negative thinking never got anyone anywhere

NVC does other visa category too. Now that stident visa volume should be at its height because many of the schools starts in fall. The increased load could be attributed to this as well. Even the backend automated process is also backed up, just not the manual process like scanning and review.
