Got hold of. NVC , talked to the supervisor said they are going to review it . Does anybody know how long it takes for them to review a mistake nvc made ?

Based on what I saw on here in the last 2-3 months, supervisor's review can be a hit or miss. Some people got it in 1-3 days while others had to wait for 30 business days.

I hear Supervisor Sylvia is the best. She works in the morning.

I hope a supervisor reviews your case very quickly! Fingers crossed! :star:

Im still waiting frm June5:(

I just want to get a running count of how many people in this forum are still waiting for their DS-261 from either May or June to be approved and also waiting for the IV fee to be invoiced. My 60 days (I feel ridiculous saying that) are coming up in 4 days from the date my DS-261 was received by the NVC and I am getting a little anxious here...

I remember seeing someone getting his IV fee invoice email after 60 calender days on one of the Facebook groups. :wow:

I hope you get your IV fee invoice email this week. Fingers crossed!

I am finding Nvc a more horrible process than I ever imagined. I feel like my marriage is dangling by thread. I thought we would be seeing a lot of July approvals this week but so far it looks like Nvc is sleeping. I don't know how much more our marriage can tolerate. Whenever we think that we can see the finish line someone stretches the tunnel even more. People say it's govt tactic to stop people from marrying abroad and break marriages. I think their strategy has started to work.

I have been one of the unfortunate ones stuck in both backlogs, but this whole this is just so unpredictable. Funny to think I could have waited a year to submit my I-130 and still be exactly where I am today.

We understand how that happened because you got stuck in both backlogs. If you had waited for one year, you would have gotten auto-expedited because you both live overseas.

Well, I don't know if your friends and family get it because that is a wild statement - you could have waited a year to submit your immigration application and still be exactly where you are today... Yep, that sounds a little crazy! :dead:

I hope you get a CC this week so you can end this nightmare and move on. Fingers crossed!

I just now got an email to fill out form DS-261 in response to email I had sent to know our case number 2 months back. (and they replied today!!!) But we have already submitted DS-261 and got confirmation number too. The form says completed on CEAC website. Is it a false email? has anybody else experienced it? Should I call NVC and confirm? I do not want to reset the clock of 60 days when its already 26 days.!!!

How about spending some time with your hubby since you still have 2-3 more months to go until your interview?

If you can't visit the US, can your hubby visit you? You can always meet each other in a third country you both can visit. :star:

My husband has been real busy with work lately so he can't leave. And I m the beneficiary so unfortunately I can't visit either. Although if this goes on I might try for a tourist visa next month since I have an exam to give before dec 31st over there anyways. I thought there is no way I wouldn't be there before dec but now anything is possible. Atleast US govt should sllow tourist visa really. They just torture out marriages really.

I might be wrong, but I thought you couldn't get a tourist visa once you have submitted your I-130 application? :dead:

It's because the US immigration now knows you have an intention to immigrate to the US.

Yes u cannot. But I have to give an exam and I have a deadline. And I have a letter from ecfmg go give a consideration for the visa because of that exam. It has the deadline of dec2014 so I previously thought it's of no use but now I think I will give it a shot. Worst would be they deny. But I would give it a shot before wasting 1500 dollars of that exam fee which I already paid :)

I think you can ignore the email. I emailed NVC about unlocking my IV fee invoice more than a month ago. I received a reply email saying they'll need 30 more business days. Well, I've already paid the IV fee.

Oh, stay away from the DS-261 unless you feel your case is being processed too fast and you don't mind waiting more!
