Guys... any ideas if this 60 days NVC wait time is 60 normal days or 60 business days? I just want to call NVC only to bug them...seriously...I don't think "our call is important to them"...they want us to "remain on the line & our patience will be greatly appreciated...yea right...my BEHIND! Anyways calling them again, even though I already know what they're going to tell me....I'm calling them..just to get on their nerve....since I can't do much but get angry & frustrated :(

I couldn't get through to call them, kept getting the busy tone and I must have redialed at least 50 times. Finally gave up. Oh and it's 60 calendar days but some of them will use "60 business days" excuse if you're close to 60 calendar days, just to get you off of the phone.

I believe it is 60 calendar days but hopefully it won't take them this long. They are just giving themselves some leeway in case it takes that long. Hang in there.

Congratulations! I am beginning to like hearing about case completes too. I hope and pray that NVC gets done with June and July soon and gets to August.

I'm the beneficiary, wife of USC.
12/30/2012: Got engaged.
1/16/2013: Got married in India.

I-130:
2/28/2013: Attorney mailed the I-130 from a U.S. address.
3/4/2013: Priority date, NOA1.
11/6/2013: Case was transferred to Nebraska Service Center.

1/6/2014: 60 days of transfer are up, put in an e-request, given 30 days' time. Contacted the senator. Senator asked to wait till Feb 6 and if nothing then she will do something.
2/5/2014: Website status changed to RFE.
2/10/2014: Attorney gets RFE. They need G325A and photos of both me and husband, original marriage certificate, copy of marriage record and it's translation.
2/15/2014: Mailed the requisite documents to husband.
2/19/2014: Documents received by husband.
2/24/2014: RFE mailed.
2/26/2014: Case status changed to RFE review.
3/6/2014: After 367 days, NOA2.

After approval kept calling NVC but NVC always had one reply, file was not in their system. Husband too called USCIS National Customer Service Center and was told case was sent to NVC.
4/2/2014: Write to NSCFollowup to know about the status of the petition.
4/10/2014: Put in a ?service request with USCIS starting with OVP to locate case.
4/16/2014: Reply from NSCFollowup that the U.S. law prohibited that office from responding to anyone other than the petitioner and to have the petitioner contact them.
4/18/2014: Sent email to NVC Research to locate the case.
4/22/2014: Petitioner sent email to NSCFollowup
5/14/2014: Receive email from NVC Research that they do not have a record of receiving the petition.
5/16/2014: Congressman's immigration caseworker contacted supervisor at NSC who said the petition is pending and will be dispatched in two weeks.
5/27/2014: Petitioner received response from NSCFollowup that the case was pending an internal extended review. Really?

I don't know how NVC works, cause there are cases complete with scan date June 20s, and some cases complete with July something; and also few July 10+..... And we are still waiting. They keep telling us it's first in first out, but it seems not that way.

Yes, they insist they review mail in order received, but I think it is obvious they do not. My checklist with one simple correction still not review and received 16/6, scanned 20/6.

Good morning Augustians :) Somehow I have been extremely fortunate and received NOA2 about 2 weeks after NOA1. I have no idea how this happened but it did and I'm super grateful.

We are now scrambling to get the AOS stuff together. I called the NVC last Friday and they have not yet registered it but they have received it so I will just call once a week until the 30 days is up then maybe call more often.

I can organise my police certificate now, yes?

Also holy gosh how expensive are medicals?! I was just doing some research, looks like I'll be paying $400+ at best..

Congrats on your speedy USCIS experience! I hope your luck continues in NVC. I have been one of the unfortunate ones stuck in both backlogs, but this whole this is just so unpredictable. Funny to think I could have waited a year to submit my I-130 and still be exactly where I am today. Funny the way it works. I can only hope that forces beyond my control have decided it is not time for me to go yet. There must be something I have to experience, learn or contribute to here first. (Trying HARD to look on the bright side). I try to stop myself from complaining when I realise I am with my husband here, I cannot begin to imagine this process apart. My heart goes out to all of those separated. (L)

Hi Amanda

Another week for us both. I am not waiting for anything but I am SURE you are going to hear this week - you must.

Can you send me a message with your personal email so we can communicate outside of VJ.

Will be cheering you on this week.

Hugs.

Yes lovely, a new week, a new hope. Although you are not expecting anything from NVC news-wise this week, it is still a week ticking by closer to being reunited. Another hope that NVC will pull their thumbs out and get to work. Another week to enjoy the Land Down Under. xoxo

I m really not coping up with this well anymore. Cried myself to sleep last night. Nvc is making this a torture. Isn't there anything we can do about this? Any complaining or anything? I feel like our marriage is dangling with a thread now. It's been 18 months since I saw my husband. And I really can't lose strength with us being so close to the target line.

Hang in there samreen...

That's a long time to be apart, but soon you'll be together. :)

So guys I have a question. One of my friend got a AOS checklist.

If says

1- IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION

But also on the bottom it says

General Instructions

[x] You will need to complete and submit the new form, completely filled out (all pages required), which includes

the changes noted below. Submitting single pages of the form with the correction is not acceptable. In order

to make corrections you will need to download a new form at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov.

Part 3 Information on the Sponsor

[x] This section is incomplete, please answer all questions completely. (If a question is not applicable, please indicate N/A in the appropriate space.)

Part 6

[x] On line 20, the sponsor has not correctly entered his/her own name in the blank, "I,

____Xxxxxx xxxxxxcc__ certify...".

[VC1 08/11/2014]

Does this mean it's a true checklist? The petetioner apparently wrote his name In small letters. Can they get a checklist for something this small?

Edit: I read it again and realized it's the same n/a bullshit for checklist. They filed EZ and they left that part blank. I m so sorry for my friend. So even if they had written their name appropriately they would have still gotten it.

Hello everybody!!! I have one question I called NVC about 10 days ago and told me to wait 30 working days, I called 20 minutes ago and now they said 60 days, well my question is do I have to wait 60 calendar days or 60 working days? Thank you... they recived my DS261 on 3 July...

When did you submit form DS-261 because I guess submission dates and receiving dates differ. How did you get to know about the receiving date. Did you ask particularly? Because everytime I call the NVC rep and ask them if they have my form, they would just tell me to wait for 60 days and they do not have my form into their system yet even after 26 days of submission. So my question is if the form shows complete and when I have the confirmation number too and also according to one of NVC rep Kevin, if it shows complete, that means they have it in their system, then why do they tell, " We don't have your from yet." They are getting onto my nerves now. Also I am bit confused if the 60 days start from submission of DS-261 or the day they receive? (I know its 60 days from receipt for documents)
