By the way, I've noticed people talking about education questions on the DS-260. I didn't get any questions about my education, other than current employer/school in which I gave my employer's details. It went through no problem, so I guess it's normal for them to not ask about it in some cases?

Applicants from wealthy/low fraud countries don't get as many questions on the DS-260 as applicants from poor/high fraud countries. That's my theory, anyway. But maybe it depends on each individual case? We went ahead and assumed my husband would have to put his last 10 years of employment and everywhere he's lived since age 16, since we saw those questions on the example form. Oh, and his education all the way back to high school. I have all that info just in case. I think perhaps everyone has to do all the addresses from age 16, but certainly not the rest of it.

Several months ago someone posted a guide to the DS-260 that actually showed which criteria would make certain questions required for some candidates but not others. I can't seem to find it at the moment but there are a lot of factors including gender that go into determining what gets asked. My husband immigrated from the UK which is about as low fraud as it gets, but he still had to provide full work and education history.

DS-260 is a dynamic form. Certain question are auto-deleted depending on answers to questions in earlier pages. The exemplar pdf above explains most of the alternatives.

Not necessarily... for example, if they have added weekends and are working 7 days a week instead of 5, but are currently receiving three times as many files as they were when they got yours, times would still be going up. It's just that it would be even more so without the overtime.

I personally don't know whether they are working overtime, and we also have no way to know exactly how much of an overload of casework they really have... I guess I am just inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt, that whether or not they are in fact working overtime, they ARE doing their best to move through the cases as quickly as they can. Again, there's no way to know what's really happening.

Reposting something I posted about the DS-260 when I had looked it up myself.

These are the conditions for people who need to fill out their work history/education.
- Males between ages 14-60
- Anyone over 14 from Burma, China, Cuba, India, Iran, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, stateless
- Anyone who is retired, not employed, or a homemaker
- everyone filing for visas that aren't IR1/CR1

Otherwise, women** who are currently working are exempt. That's what it appears like since that's what Ketsuban has reported and NLR.

I got the info for reading the DS2-260 example from the travel.state.gov website that Saylin links to. However, maybe these conditions could be plainly posted because a lot of people probably do not read the DS260?

Edit: Women from countries not listed.

I can almost assure you they are not.

They are US government employees. Overtime is far too expensive. They certainly are not working weekends either, especially not Sundays.

hi everyone

my status in website ceac aos fee changed from paid to N/A

i want to ask you guys if that means CASE COMPLETE

But no email received!!

That is usually what it means but you should call to confirm. The CC email typically takes a week for some reason that is only known to our NVC overlords.

Congratulations!

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.
