Our AOS was sent July 10. Delivered to NVC July 14 according to the website. But when I called NVC they said they received it July 17. And I think that was the day they were scanned in the system.

Yes. That means Friday was your scanned date.

:rofl: I guess NVC have their own terms they use. I.e When they say we RECEIVED your documents on a date. RECEIVED DATE = SCANNED DATE.

Kendall has been around for a while she should know better. If you want to complain (I would) the e-mail to do so is the first thing you see on my signature. We shouldn't have to grovel for information we pay for.

Let it be. Like someone said maybe NVC has its own terminology. So when they say received date it means scanned date.

Yes, confirm on Monday.

And you can't be on two spreadsheets! Once someone requests to be on the new layout, I remove them from the old one.

By the way, I've noticed people talking about education questions on the DS-260. I didn't get any questions about my education, other than current employer/school in which I gave my employer's details. It went through no problem, so I guess it's normal for them to not ask about it in some cases?

Hey guys!! So I got an email from USCIS, that my case was finally shipped to NVC on August 5th. Now I guess I have to wait for them to receive it and get a case number..? How long do you think it will take to get a case number?? And what should I start gathering for documents in the mean time now? Any help would be appreciated

Mine was received on July 28th and no number yet. For the documents read the NVC process Wiki in first post of this thread.

I think you can write an approximate address, complete other parts of the form and then edit your aunt's address when you get the right one.

Applicants from wealthy/low fraud countries don't get as many questions on the DS-260 as applicants from poor/high fraud countries. That's my theory, anyway. But maybe it depends on each individual case? We went ahead and assumed my husband would have to put his last 10 years of employment and everywhere he's lived since age 16, since we saw those questions on the example form. Oh, and his education all the way back to high school. I have all that info just in case. I think perhaps everyone has to do all the addresses from age 16, but certainly not the rest of it.
