Just spoke to "Robo-Max" who has no emotion. My checklist docs scanned on 20 June have still not been reviewed and I must wait 60 days.

I asked why other people with scan dates a week after mine are getting case completes and mine is just sitting there waiting to be reviewed and the smarty pants asked me to give him another case number to look up to prove this is true. What a smart a$$.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. I have always been one to sit and wait my turn, but it feels like everyone is passing me by while I just sit here. I feel so drained and helpless.

I'm June 26 and feeling your pain. I spoke to a guy (didn't catch his name) on Thursday night (our time) and he gave me the 60 days story. I then spoke to supervisor Betsy and told her that I have seen approvals after my date and she insisted that that doesn't happen and they work on first in first out with their mail. She refused to acknowledge that it was happening, when clearly on VJ we can see that it is.

Next week will be our week xx (I have been saying that for the past 14 months, but really! Next week is our week! )

10 years really? That may end up being super helpful!!! I was all worried about bringing all my earthly belongings at the POE. Do you have to declare all goods to follow at the POE?

I don't think so. Check on the CBP website to be sure though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NEVER! Send a regular copy only, I did and so does everyone else. Only the beneficiary has to give original or certified/notarized I can't remember which on that one.

Need help filling out DS-260

I'm going through DS-260 exemplar (to familiarize myself about the form before we do it online) and I found few troubling questions:

1. Questions about parents- Mother's Surnames? What goes here, mother's maiden name or married name? (old DS-230 asked about Mother's family name at birth)

2. Have you attended any educational institutions at a secondary level or above - what do they considered secondary level education?

3. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

Is answer here "YES", because person will do medical exam before interview?

4. About passport: Country/Authority that Issued Document: -SELECT ONE- what are the possible options that can be selected?

2 - Secondary is High school.

3 - if you do not then say No. Explain that you will get the vaccinations at medical before interview. People do not get denied for this.

4 - the country that issued your passport.

I thought you only needed to include the beneficiary's documents in the IV package (except for the marriage certificate which contains the petitioner's name)? http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

Well, our expedite request on the basis of my husband's French visa expiring was denied. I wasn't too hopeful, but now we have to try to figure out work contract extensions, visa renewals, and new short-term living arrangements in Paris, all of which is so expensive. I never thought I'd get sick of living in France, but I miss the US!

I'm glad to see a few new case completes! I hope we all see some progress on our cases very soon!

I can't answer definitively, but it seems to me that when I filled out the ds-260 on line they asked for mother's name at birth as well... I understood it to say that high school is secondary level... but hopefully others will chime in with more information.

Yes next week should be our week! It better be mine since my 60th day is Friday 15th. Although I wouldn't be surprised to wake up to an email on the 60th day that day that tells me it is now 60 business days. *shudder*

We've come so far, but this last part has felt soooo long. Thank goodness I have my VJ crew that is so supportive and understanding!

Also probably off topic for this thread, but this wait and all the disappointment have really really gotten me down (as most of you understand all too well) With the receipt of the 60 day email I have been forced to cancel our US wedding celebration (invites were already out) And although you guys are awesome and this site is super helpful; I have been super obsessed! And checking VJ every 10 minutes at work doesn't make the NVC move any faster haha.

So I talked to my job and they are going to let me take a mixture of leave/ work remotely from Peru!!! I am going in September and staying until hopefully after our interview! I am so so happy, and the wait seems so much more bearable now, because at least I will be with my husband. Just wanted to share some rare good news

They want the Petitioners and Sponsors and Co-Sponsors birth certificate or naturalization papers (copies) for the AOS.
