Thank you. It just KILLS me that there is no rhyme or reason at the NVC. How can they justify taking this long to "accept" an ONLINE form that was maybe 1 page long? Above that, how can they justify putting some cases through faster than others? So tired of this...

Im still waiting as well. Submitted DS261 on June5.

The operator Oscar told my husband that we would receive invoice by the end of this week and my husband trusted it. Well, nothing happened. I hate NVC.

Finally got some good news today. We got our case complete, after seeing AOS fee change from "Paid" to "N/A". Called to confirm. Our last scan date was July 1 (mail was received on June 26). It's a relief to be on our way out of the NVC.

Congratulations, what great news! Do you have a lawyer? I´m trying to figure out if the checklist documents are all in a fast track for review or if it´s just for people who have lawyers.

hey my scan date is 26 of June , and still nothing yet and i aslo have a lawyer, some may think that will help , im 6 months pregnant and was hoping that my husband would be here with me :(

Have you submitted an expedite request for your pregnancy? I know they usually ask for medical emergencies, but a supervisor told me that it´s up to the individual embassy, so it might be worth a shot.

I still remember his face :ranting: let me know...

Okay, so no idea why that name sounded familiar as that wasn't the name of the officer who denied me at the Montreal airport. It was Andrew Nunes. And the @$$ at the land border to Plattsburgh was simply named 'Arboleda' on my paperwork.

Wow! Congrats and thabk you for the cute trivia.. :D

The visa will be picked up on Monday!! Immigrant Extortion Fee will be paid that day!

Cute fact: our anniversary is August 22nd, and it was on that day in 1960 that Sally fell in love with Linus in the Peanuts comic strip! My Sweet Babboo is coming home with me!!

You have 10 years to bring your stuff over. So no it doesn't have to be right away. Cars you only have a year to import however. (But if it's like years after your initial crossing they could ask for proof that you owned this item for a year before importing it.)

10 years really? That may end up being super helpful!!! I was all worried about bringing all my earthly belongings at the POE. Do you have to declare all goods to follow at the POE?

Just spoke to "Robo-Max" who has no emotion. My checklist docs scanned on 20 June have still not been reviewed and I must wait 60 days.

I asked why other people with scan dates a week after mine are getting case completes and mine is just sitting there waiting to be reviewed and the smarty pants asked me to give him another case number to look up to prove this is true. What a smart a$$.

I don't know how much more of this I can take. I have always been one to sit and wait my turn, but it feels like everyone is passing me by while I just sit here. I feel so drained and helpless.

Need help filling out DS-260

I'm going through DS-260 exemplar (to familiarize myself about the form before we do it online) and I found few troubling questions:

1. Questions about parents- Mother's Surnames? What goes here, mother's maiden name or married name? (old DS-230 asked about Mother's family name at birth)

2. Have you attended any educational institutions at a secondary level or above - what do they considered secondary level education?

3. Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with U.S. law?

Is answer here "YES", because person will do medical exam before interview?

4. About passport: Country/Authority that Issued Document: -SELECT ONE- what are the possible options that can be selected?

I can't answer definitively, but it seems to me that when I filled out the ds-260 on line they asked for mother's name at birth as well... I understood it to say that high school is secondary level... but hopefully others will chime in with more information.
