Our AOS was reviewed today, the lady on the call told me. She said that I forgot to put n/a on the residency address thing cuz I left it blank..so there's a checklist for it now.

Silly mistake is going to cost me another 60 days :'(

My husband lived grew up in a different city in Pakistan and then moved to the one he's currently in about 6 years ago. The police certificate I submitted was only for the current residing city. Should I ask him to prepare one for the first city he used to live in?

I see that people are getting a checklist over cities or countries they lived in 10-15 years ago. I'm not sure :/

"Police Records

Not available. Pakistan has no nationwide tracking system in place for criminal activities. Police Character Certificates are available for a fee from District Coordinating Offices. However, they are not an accurate reflection of an individual's criminal record. An applicant who has committed a crime in one district may be able to obtain a clean Character Certificate from that district or another. Given the inaccuracy of these certificates, they are not required for consular processing."

Here is the info about Pakistan Police Certificate Requirement I saw on the NVC website. Here is the link http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/fees/reciprocity-by-country/PK.html and I have seen in earlier threads through the search that many people applying from Pakistan have not submitted police clearance report to the NVC and got CC since it clearly states that it's not required. But they have taken PCC to the interview just as a precaution.

I hope it helps. Maybe someone who has already gone through NVC from Pakistan can reaffirm that NVC doesn't checklist you for not providing PCC with IV documents.

That is great news! Congrats!!! My scan date is June 27, praying for case complete tomorrow :)

Guys, I'm on cloud 9. seriously!!!!! I can't imagine that this day has finally come. I wanna thank Saliyn and all VJ members for the immense support.

I wish and pray that you all get CC's soon and that you are able unite with your loved ones.

This makes more sense now, one if my friends who is in the process was also told by one of the reps from NVC that she did not need a police certificate.

I don't know of anyone who did not submit one, everyone that I know did get one. Oh man I can either request it and send it in...or keep it if they ask. The only dilemma is that if I keep it and they ask for it; then my process is delayed for another 60 days. Oh man, what to do.

I submitted the i864ez

I (petitioner) also filled out I864EZ today for my wife (beneficiary) and sent it through Fedex. I rewrote my address in the place of residence box instead of putting N/A. Let's see what happens, I should find out by next month about my AOS.

I know it's a bit of dilemma but since NVC is stating on their website that its not required, I will take that. I don't understand when it says that not required for consular processing why people want to make their life difficult by submitting one. What if people who are submitting it get checklisted for PCC if NVC doesn't like anything on it.

I have asked Samreen23 if she submitted a PCC along with her IV documents. Let's see how she did it.

Good luck to you in this challenging process, hope everything goes well for you from this point on, please do read Saylin's wiki if you can, lot of people who have followed it closely have avoided checklists from NVC. She does state in her wiki do not take a chance and don't leave place of residence column blank in AOS form.

I have printed Saylin's wiki and its with me all the time in my work briefcase :)

You're right. Unfortunately I didn't know of this site nor about the wiki back when I submitted the AOS package. Thank you! Good luck to you as well.

Maybe you should call them and confirm if that is fine? There's still time to resubmit it now, instead of waiting a month for a response. I would do that if I were you.
