a little confused - consulate step

Hi all needing a little guidance.

We completed the NVC stage (got our case#) and have reached the consulate in DR. We are at status rEADY. So now we prepare the forms for my fiance to bring w him to the interview.

- bc, marriage and divorce certificates all certified by Junta central and in long form.called in extensa

- police certificate

- letter of intent

- DS 160 online & DS 156 online ? Why does it mention DS 260?

Also, I thought I read that the firms do NOT need to be translated to English but the communication we received indicates that yes they all must 've translated....help!

But here too it says the paperwork must be translated. Is that new? I did it for the uscis but I thought at the consulate it wasn't necessary?

The documents that the beneficiary must present to the US consulate in the DR can be in english or spanish, like police record, birth certificafe, etc, It has to be translated if it is any other language that its not english or spanish.

I did not translate any document that I presented the day of the interview.

The DS160 is filled online, get a digital copy of the photos 2x2 so you can upload it to the DS160. The DS156k is the one that you download and fill out but do not sign! Your fiance has to sign it at the end of the interview in front of the consul. These two forms are the only forms for K1.

I did not translate any document that I presented the day of the interview.
