And my husband is travelling for work a lot, all of our friends are working. I get really bored during weekdays, not to mention my current mobility is little to nothing

Seriously, I have lots of IT big freelance projects that I need to do that I already work on for more than a year, but still, this type of life style right now does not help me find motivation. Seriously, I sleep in everyday.

I wonder how you cope with it.

I was actually a teacher in the UK, but I need to get licensed here to continue teaching. Plan is to get a classroom assistant job or something to get us on our feet with money and give me the time to study for the license test.

I'm doing the final year of my MA so I'm starting to pick away at next year's work as much as I can to stop my brain from turning to mush. I also have videogames and books to keep me company. I try to go out on walks but I find the heat quite oppressive some days (I'm from Wales, all I'm used to is rain!) so I spend more time sat indoors than I'd like. As I said though I'd geared myself up for this downtime when we started the K1 process over a year ago so I'm just trying to truck through it.

Do you need a license to teach in a private school? I have some friends teaching in private schools in VA, they never got their license though. I did try an online MMOPRG and now I max the level of my char, lol

I'm so glad that some of my friends are starting their business and ask me if I could help them with some of their IT projects, otherwise I probably would have been bored to death. I also started container gardening when I got back to NC, and I think I am very close to harvest hundreds of tomatoes, haha

If Boston is too hot, try the hot and humid NC summer, arrrr! Went to Portland ME a month ago, it was really pleasant there~~

Yep I could absolutely teach in private schools without getting my license first. However I want to work as a TA for a year so I can get my head around the US school system without having the responsibility of a teacher. It will also give me the time to study for my license and finish off my MA...no marking or lesson planning in the evenings and on the weekends if the right opportunity came up though, who knows.

I'm sure once we're both working we'll miss all this free time

Congratulations! I still haven't gotten my. I called them today. Hopefully, I will received mine soon~~
