Yes, the consular reply came back after 6 weeks and it's content was meaningless. I wrote my Congressman that was a useless exercise. Maybe if I channel the 'Great Karnack' I'll get my answer....

6 weeks? Its only been 3 weeks and there is a holiday or two in there , must of wrote your congressman on a different issue.

Now Carnac is a good idea

Carnac was not responding...

Hope your file didn't fall in the cracks during the software hiccup.

Hank, this is what makes me think about 'falling in to the cracks'. Embassy software went down 7/11, interview monday 7/14, I can't find anyone that got their K-1 Visa on that date...remember the Check4Change operation ? We were possibility the only K-1 visa that day....My fiancé was #1 in the K-1 window.

I'm trying to be philosophical about this, but my fiancé and I are upset and cannot understand why K-1 holders, post her interview date are already in the US or have tickets. I don't want commiseration, or anyone to think I'm not happy for them, but it is really upsetting that we were days from being married and now operating in the blind.

Carnac's software is down...might help if I channel 'Dear Abby'....Keep you posted

Have you contacted USEM recently? Phone call, email?

Both, but no luck. Maybe I'm grasping at straws, but I went into our dashboard and clicked on appointments and found this: under 'Status' she's listed as 'Scheduled' (on the far right, below) ? Given that she passed the interview and took the oath, should the appointment status read "Scheduled" ?

I don't give much credence to the status info, at times it will say READY and stay that way for some time.

Taking into consideration weekends, closings and holidays you are only 14-15 days past your interview, with the expedites still processing and the computer glitch tossed into the mix you are not out of wack too much.

When my wife went through there were many that got their visa in 3 days, hers didn't arrive for two weeks.
