Avik Roy. You should try and read recent reports rather than the garbage that Mitt Romney's former campaign staffer continues to publish on Forbes. The annual Medicare and Social Security reports just came out on Monday - Breitbart didn't tell you that, right? And guess what? Neither program faces any imminent collapse. Medicare, in particular, has actually recovered quite nicely since the ACA was passed. The life of the Medicare trust fund has since been extended by a whopping 13 years and is now projected to run dry in 2030 after which only 85% of its expenses would be covered. So, yes, there's work to be done to shore up Medicare but Mitt's former staffer was wrong making the claim he made 2 years ago that Medicare is going broke year after next. It won't. And it won't for almost a decade and half thereafter, either.
