Hi everybody good day to all, I just got off the phone with NVC and I asked them about the police certificate from Singapore and they told me that they will request that from Singapore themselves and for us not to worry about it just send in the other IV documents they ask for I just wanted to make sure that they're not misleading us about this process to slow us down any help would be appreciated thanks in advance

Do remember the process at NVC and the process at USEM are two different events each with their own requirements. Note item 7 in the instructions letter.

Thanks again hank but can I ask the embassy to put in a request for the police certificate or do the applicants have to request for Singapore to do

Based on other threads (as well as experienced by someone I know a few years ago) the NVC will send you a checklist for not submitting the Singapore police cert. This checklist is needed to obtain the cert from Singapore. Singapore won't issue the cert (unless a citizen) without the checklist so the delay is unavoidable. I hope things have changed lately, otherwise expect the delay.

The embassy does not request the police certificate, it is the applicants responsibility.
