I have a couple of questions about the AoS Fee Waiver and I was hoping the good folks here could help answer some of them.

  • There is a waiver for the AoS Fee, and one of the situations listed is that when there is financial trouble due to unforseen medical reasons. My wife earns enough to put us over 150% of the Poverty Level for 2, however due to her Diabetes saving up for the AoS fee is really hard. Plus she had recently been hospitalized and has an enormous medical bill that we can't even begin to tackle. She has insurance but it barely covers any of it.
  • If we're eligible to apply for the Fee Waiver, what do we need to do exactly? Do we just file the Waiver, wait for a response and then file for the AoS? Do we file the AoS along with the Fee Waiver Request?
  • What documents are we going to provide to show any of this? Her prescription bills and medical bills I assume, along with insurance and probably a copy of her employment details?

Thanks so much for anyone who can shed some light on this!
