I jive so much, that even when I tell the truth, people think I'm lying :)

Now think about that for a second.....

When I pass a rumor, true or not, people dismiss it.

And when it travels thru the grapevine, no one ever points a finger at me and say that I started it......

Like Tarklar, no way in hell will he ever believe that his friend Steve tells everyone else what a schmuck he is ;)

That sucks. I insisted on a cheap ring and a year and half ago the stone became loose in the setting, you can hear it rattle, so we brought it to a jeweler in Denmark and they said because of the ring style and the thinness of the prongs that they would do more damage trying to fix it. Thankfully, it hasn't fallen out yet, but part of the reason I wanted not a diamond was I knew if I got an expensive ring, I would totally lose it or break it and would be heartbroken.

I don't know if it is the type of guy friends I've had or the type of person I am, but everything starts out fine and good. Then, all of sudden, I'm getting invited to go on their engagement trip instead of their fiancee because they'd prefer me (this has happened) or their wife isn't quite liberated enough for them or the conservative political banter and libertarianism and those pesky Ayn Randian ideals about male and female relationships and....

No, no men.

Oh my wedding set, well its not a set really was not cheap. Hubby has my engagement ring insured, it took me for ever to get used to wearing it and I wouldn't let me tell him how much it cost. But the ring that broke was just a birthday present, I'm not happy to not be able to wear it but not much I can do now as they won't fix it and they don't make it anymore.

I had a few quy friends like that, I think it might be our personality that attracts them.

I just charged Tiff 4 bucks for notarizing 2 things for her aunt :content:

Well, don't you guys live in Arkansaw?

You mean to tell me, that you want us to believe that you guys don't have any duct tape laying around in the house?

just checking in to say hi and hope everyone's doing well...aside from broken rings, sleep deprivation, lack of good coffee...that last one would kill me...

i started the full time job and i am still doing the retail one on weekends...don't know how long i can carry on doing that, but for now we are working on getting our respective bank account balances back to where they used to be. it feels good to be busy and productive again. :D

not much else to report...oh...toothy, some weeks back you were asking about gifts for people in singapore that can be purchased online? if you ever need to buy something in the future, i managed to get gift certificates to the asian market cafe in the fairmont and paid for them online...filled in a card authorization form and faxed it to them with a copy of the front and back of my card.

ok i am off to eat dinner in bed with my handsome man and watch some mrs doubtfire. :) goodnight!

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!

Our insurance agent kept trying to get me to insure my ring and I finally just said "Lady, I have no jewelry worth insuring, ok?". It is weird they won't fix it. I'm trying to remember which chain it was, but I intentionally broke a string of pearls a few years back and they fixed it for free....

Yeah, it must be, I wish it weren't that way, though.
