So I just got back from Kay Jewelers they can't fix my ring. They were going to let me pick out something else since they can't replace it, but I would of lost the ring and the chain with the pendant. At a 50% cut of what it's it was sold for to begin with. It's 10k gold and all they had was sterling silver. My set was worth more then what they had. So I left with my set, hubby is going to look at the lifetime warranty.

Oh no! What's wrong with your ring? I tried searching for posts about it but nothing came up! I had to send my ring back to the jeweler that my fiancé bought it from because i dropped it on a very hard surface, it bounced and a prong became loose, thus loosened the diamond (its a four prong princess cut so it's not sturdy like a six prong round)

It's been 2 weeks :( I miss it.

Yes, yes you are ma'am :)

Oh, the terrible side effects of living with a man who doesn't read books.

I swear I need two husbands - one like the current one and one who reads books and has similar interests to my own.

Hey now, you don't get to judge me! ;)

Nah, my husband wouldn't be cool with me having guy friends and not because he is a control freak, but rather because I honestly told him it would be a problem.

Husband is still pissed we aren't handfasted, but I'm still holding out hope he'll fulfill my lifelong fantasy of a Dane and a Swede in the house. *faints*

/Of course I'm being totally crude here as a joke newbies.

I never posted about it.

It's the band under the mount, the gold band a very thin dainty design part broke off. The ruby is still secure but the band now is sharp so I can't wear it.

That sucks. I insisted on a cheap ring and a year and half ago the stone became loose in the setting, you can hear it rattle, so we brought it to a jeweler in Denmark and they said because of the ring style and the thinness of the prongs that they would do more damage trying to fix it. Thankfully, it hasn't fallen out yet, but part of the reason I wanted not a diamond was I knew if I got an expensive ring, I would totally lose it or break it and would be heartbroken.

Why would having guy friends be a problem?

I don't know if it is the type of guy friends I've had or the type of person I am, but everything starts out fine and good. Then, all of sudden, I'm getting invited to go on their engagement trip instead of their fiancee because they'd prefer me (this has happened) or their wife isn't quite liberated enough for them or the conservative political banter and libertarianism and those pesky Ayn Randian ideals about male and female relationships and....

No, no men.
