Is it weird that I feel nervous to see my fiancé next week?? Like in a "I hope he still finds me attractive" and "is he gonna kiss me right away?!" kind of way......... probably yes, I am starting to get a whole wash of emotions ahhhhhhhhh

I practically had a nervous breakdown the first time we met in person, but the third time when I moved to Denmark, I was tired and exasperated that I could have cared less at that point. Plus, he like most men, was just thinking about getting home and getting to the bedroom.

Greetings and Felicitations, y'all.

I have been suffering from allergies, 2 days now - wake up dizzy, cannot walk straight until I get my nasal cavities emptied and the meds in me. It's really suck-y....

my wife is suffering from similar problems, but it aggravates her chronic otitis media, and she's sleeping more [which is good] .

Allergies are bad here too! Hope you get some relief soon.

:o Do you know that word is a derogatory term for a Native Australian? It's the equivalent of a racial slur that starts with "N"

Oh lol sorry...makes sense now....

I read it in a novel by nevil shute. A town like Alice.

Joe Harmon saw jean what's her name in the death March in Malaysia. She must have had some tan. He started calling her that...

It's the only reference I know by an Australian...

There's was also some characters in "on the beach" by the same author....moira....can't remember much.

I guess a novel can get a way with it because of writing from the characters perspective and not representing anyone "real". But it's a term that if used would get me fired from work or kicked out of a restaurant.

I didn't know the C word mentioned earlier in the thread was offensive because we have a cheese brand of the same name!

Find a slang word and there's likely someone who has found a derogatory term for it. Gay for example.... when did that become a word for something other than a synonym for overtly happy? It has been since I can remember but I can't recall why.
