So my daughter has always had night terrors in which she screams and doesn't have any muscle control, but now they are coming with aphasia rather than screaming. Poor child. :(

Oh my that sounds scary. Has she done a sleep study, could it be something else going on? My kids never had night terrors at her age just when they were real young.

had to edit words are hard :P

No sleep study, I don't think she would go for that and they don't happen every night. Our pediatrician friend was over our house one night when they happened and identified it as night terrors. I had terrible nightmares growing up, but never anything like that. I do wonder if it is related to our family history of anxiety that seems to be present in her as well.

I think Alexis needs a sleep study also but I know she won't have it either.

*RANT* I moved in with my parents for my final few weeks in Sydney. Aw boy has it been fun. Mum has a mental illness (paranoid schizophrenia) and a whole encyclopedia of health issues (epilepsy, left side spastic hemiplegia, and emphysema from smoking a packet of cigarettes a day for the last 30 years). She has short term memory loss, has no idea how old I am, can't identify with "normal" conversation and never asks about hubby-to-be. Ayayay. Sometimes when I talk about him, she says "Right, who's that? When are you going?" She is medicated but still says things not "normal" such as when I talk about my hip, she asks who the doctor is, i tell her, she nods and says she knows him (she doesn't, she's never met them) she says she knows this person from high school and he is a nazi german .......... This has been my entire life. Hubby-to-be hasn't met her but he is very understanding and knows what the illness entails, nevertheless he is often speechless when I tell him a story from my childhood. I wish, for selfish reasons, that she was "normal" So I could gush over wedding stuff with her.

My hip is aching, no medication cos it causes other side effects. Hip pops when i get out of bed, no sharp pains (had a cortisone injection to stop that) but it's loud and sounds like bone grinding. Need to see a surgeon in PA or Ohio in the next few weeks (would have had the surgery here but no one has performed an FAI hip arthroscopy in Sydney, ironically while waiting for I-129f approval a surgeon unaware of my impending visa said to me "There's an incredibly experienced ortho surgeon in Ohio who can do this! Can you go there instead?") :bonk:

I am procrastinating today, have not even begun to sort through my clothes (need to throw stuff out that's gotten to big on me). 11 more days til I am reunited with my fiancé *sigh of relief*. I am drained :dead:
