mm sounds good. i still haven't found the kind of sweet juicy mangoes we had in singapore here.

They're here, but you have to keep your eyes open for them in the Asian grocery stores. They very rarely hit the conventional grocery stores. Also they're seasonal here, and this year appears to have been a bad year for them at the sources which ship to the USA, so its been hit or miss when they're in. So far only once have I found a batch good enough that I bought a case of them. Normally I would buy numerous cases through the season, but when they're not looking good you kind of have to pick through them to get the good ones. The one we ate last night was wonderful.

do not forget the milk!

Do you drink milk from a box? Would you drink milk with a fox?

From there to here, from here to there, these is no cold milk over there.

Husband is not a happy camper about changes to our health insurance. It's going up because the teachers insurance is being given a break so they don't want to raise their insurance. So ours will go up to pay for theirs, on top of it going up they raised our co pays for medications big time. Raise the monthly rate by another 100, and we have to start paying 1000$ deductible to see a doctor. Then they raised the co pay once you meet that 1k to see the darn doctors too. Bad enough the State has stopped giving them raises so our health insurance goes up and but pay hasn't budged in 5 yrs.

Sure makes Canada more tempting

They're around. this thread originated as a "Rant" thread (About 20 episodes ago)...to vent about that, and everything else. Now it kinda evolved into a chit chat. Except the times when the ladies (I call them broads, because they prefer to be called such :) ) here turn it into a "fallopian chat". Then it's just a ovarian chat.....

Has the cousin tried getting acupunked, D man?

.

Uh, no. I've suggested it to her since 1999, actually bringing her in to a needle shop 10 times since then, always she said 'no'.

Last week I learned, her 'no' was always about insurance coverage.

This whole discusson about cooking and who's doing what at home made me realize, that I'd love to cook, but cooking for 1 person (myself) is no fun, so I practically don't cook.

I know, right? I set up a 'rescued aunties' group in Dallas, they would always come over to my house on Sundays, stay all day, and cook. They not like to cook for 1, either.

So, if'n you can, try to arrange for impromptu cooking club, with people you know or trust, meet once a week, cook enough for 3 meals per person, set up for left-overs in the fridge.

well, he followed it half way and then realized that it isn't gonna work like that......

Now, we're screwed. And if you ask people now, nobody voted for him.....

But we don't talk politics here. Sorry, my bad.
