thank you. I am scared...is that weird ? The whole re-starting my life with a husband was ok since I thought I won't be alone in it (and I would have been but there was still that human being there...even if he checked out of the marriage).

I am happy and worried and anxious and terrified lol

That's a pretty normal feeling right before the divorce. Afterwards it changes to being relieved you're finally free.

I don't know what is going around here, but everyone and their mother is coughing something fierce.

These midday naps are killing me. Need more sleep.

speaking of which....do I get the divorce decree right there or do I have to wait for it. I wanna send in all of my paperwork on monday next week but I am not sure i will have that at hand.

Nevermind I found it. I can just go in and get the copies or mail it in.

I can only speak for my state. After the judge signs the divorce decree, the papers are submitted to the records department. The records department does the final certification of the judgement. Your divorce is final on the day the divorce has been certified by the records department, and you can now get a copy. They told me to wait until they mailed me a notice, which took two weeks to get, but I saw it was certified 3 days after the judge signed it.

Ok. I will ask the lawyer how does that work especially since it is a private judge. I might have to wait with paperwork then. I hope that is ok for immigration ? I do have a week to send in my waiver stuff right ? God...more paperwork, more uh.

My dogs have been acting normal. Although there is a squirrel that keeps coming into the yard which is driving them nuts. I've even let the fast one out to chase it, hoping to discourage it. But every evening about 5 PM its back in front of the window digging in the grass. Funny the other day it started running before the door was open, so it had a big head start on dog. It reached its preferred tree to run up and started climbing only to fall back out of the tree onto the ground. The dog darn near got it. This squirrel is either very brave or very stupid.

Maybe this squirrel hid something in your yard and wants to dig it out

Is this for your ROC? When does your card expire? If you're at the end of the 90 day window, I'd say file now and send the decree when you when you get the RFE. A late ROC requires an explanation acceptable to them.

no not late at all...we have been married for one year only so my card won't expire until next year. That boy doesn't look to happy, maybe someone told him the Russians are coming. Or did you tell him he's just a friend? which one is you?

I'm not in trouble, I'm escaping to the Philippines island of Mindanao, which everyone is too afraid of to go and get me out again.

heck you've got a month to file. Its not a huge rush. heck many wait for the 90 day window and file then with no problems

oh wow ok....I will definitely want to do it in a week. I got tax transcripts coming in (i do have 1040 but I guess they would want more than that) and decree and I got affidavits 3x...should be enough, NYC trip receipts with both of our names, bank statements for past 6 months, life insurance thingie with me as beneficiary, him as my emergency contact for work, dental bills, him as my emergency for doctor, IDs showing same address, FIL statement (still gotta get that) that we had been living there hence no rental/house ownership. And then my statement about the relationship and how it went to toilet (gotta limit myself there or else I will just take it as a psych session and vomit all the frustrations out onto immigration lol).

Sounds ok ? Oh and you think I should add the emails I had sent to him (at least a couple) including the one I suggested a link to marriage counselors to which he had never responded ?
