I just really wanted to have a place of my own rather than rent one but you think it is best if i wait 3 years and see how i am doing and get a place at that point ? hmmm....

YAY NOLA I missed that part !!!!!

Yes also think you should rent for a while. Just build your credit and a nest egg for a loan. Renting is not a bad thing, and some people do it their whole lives. You never have to pay for upkeep of a place, which is actually a plus. Besides you never know where you'll be 5 years in the future when you can get citizenship. Maybe you'll want a house, maybe you'll want a condo... who knows. Give yourself time to think, save, and just be you for a while.

YAY NOLA!!!

Meh. Random cycles, nothing trackable, dogs ate my basal thermometer, I still love wine.

That's kind of a good explanation of my life minus the crotchety old people complaining about their medicare benefits.

How's the new home?

Oh, I love old people.

Not.

The new house just got completely new and more basement supports. Even the metal ones were rotten through. Stupid people who let water sit in their basements.... Living room ceiling and roof rebuild will hopefully be done in the coming weeks.

Well, I'm glad things are on the up and up and you're getting out of there. Soon their misery won't be your problem!

Good luck on the driving exam, you'll do wonderfully if you don't go with a belly full of wine. Teehee.

Or as long as I don't start complaining how the rules are different and how I don't get why things are this or that way which I had been doing lol Sometimes I just can't shut up.

People are annoying.

I hear you....today I annoyed myself all day long.

GC received on the 28th of February, 2014 - no interview, no additional RFE's

I was annoyed at one of my bosses. She's not even directly my boss. She decided that my work load shouldn't have taken all day. Well it did. I wasn't lazing around. I was working hard at it all day except for when I had to help guests or with the checklanes. I took my breaks, didn't over stay any of them, I had to do some paperwork so I get paid, and I needed to find all the stuff to do my work (which people take from my area and spread all over the place.) I wasn't yapping at anyone, I was working. I've previously done 8 hours of work in 4, so if this was supposed to be 4 or 6 and it took me 8, how is that fair to me? I had to clear the aisle, remove all the backer paper, put up new backer paper which BTW, doesn't FIT the aisle so each one needed to be cut. I needed more shelves and one of them needed to be cut to fit around a post. I put everything up and pulled 3 flats of product all which is individually wrapped in stupid plastic bags and Styrofoam, inside the boxes. Then I filled for the rest of the day.

But noooooooo this shouldn't have taken me 8 hours so she's gonna talk to my immediate supervisor.

the thing i hate most about retail is this exactly, the need to account for every minute, every second of your time. i can't work like that...

oh...and "if you have time to lean, you have time to clean"

i hope your supervisor has your back, and that she's more reasonable than that #######.

No, my wonderful husband never got to it and developed an addiction to Magic: The Gathering instead.

 Got to keep them too busy to play games. Mine has been kind of slow with the renovations, but he leaves the house for work at 3am then goes to a full school load after that.

Yes, but mine doesn't have that excuse. Alas.

Feel like the house has gone to ####### recently. Literally, if anything is going to get done, I have to do it myself.

I'm really struggling to keep up with the house cleaning and such because I am so exhausted and on top of that, I'm the one scheduled to paint the interior of the house. Most of the rooms are done, but there is still a lot to do.

I'm right now debating on whether to get the floors professionally sanded or not to ease some of the workload.
