well, that too.

I'm not sleeping well lately tho.

That's a symptom of being old. Or too much on your mind. Could be a bit of both.

Lingerie is the only tool a woman should need. Well if she planned it right.

Hey I have enough kids dang it!

No my boys are changing a hose from the rad and the proper tools would of let the boy drive his car to school, rather then our truck. His brother is working on the car while he is at school. It would be done if we had the right wrenches.

My oldest daughter was in an in home day care. It was just their daughter and my daughter, but they were the daycare from heII. Holy rolling bible thumpers as it turns out. My daughter was constantly tying string on her Barbie, then would have Ken come rescue her. Typical princess and the white knight type of make believe. I get a call from them one day when it happened there, "Your daughter is evil, she's hung Barbie in effigy! You have to get this spawn of the devil out of my house!". Like a three year old really understands what hanging in effigy means. I was pretty much fed up with them already, mainly because their daughter would bring out a ton of toys to play with, that our daughter was not allowed to touch. In my view, if their daughter has private toys that cannot be played with the other children, they should stay put away until the other children are gone for the day, not flaunted and teasing of the other child that is not allowed to play with them.

When I first heard the term "Day Care", it baffled me. I felt uneasy about it, like something was going on that I couldn't quite see. I didn't understand what it meant. How can you take care of a day? Why call it that if what it means is child care?

They call some of them here pre-schools, but I don't see it as educationally effective. Our receptionist at the dentist was chirping about how hers was "only" $670 a month. I was mortified. I don't know what it costs down in the lower '48 but what we want is education. You can buy a pretty zippy computer for $670. Musical instruments. Educationally I don't see a return on this money.

I have our four year old reading the parental curriculum guide to the Elementary grades at the local school. The vocabulary is tough, but outstanding as a reading assignment on a number of grounds including the vocabulary acquisition.

It is for socialization mainly and $670 is very very cheap. We paid close to that per week for our nanny and about $1600 a month for day care. Unlike your children, my daughter needs to be in an environment like that and one that will be very sensitive to her needs.

I'm 100% sure that I could teach her better at home, but she loves playing with other children at school and I won't deprive her of that.

I think perhaps you need to check your feelings about other people's life decisions.

Dunno :P

But I know this type of wearing sandals isn't limited to the Polish people.

When I was in LA a couple of years ago I saw an AfroAmerican (so he wasn't Polish man) wearing socks to his sandals

Oh heck I know a lot of ppl who do socks and sandals. It's that time of the year where it's too cold for sandals but you don't want to drag out your boots :P

I am lucky that I don't need daycare around here. Pre school here is just glorified daycare and I won't be putting Alexis in that either. We have been asked many times when will she be starting, and why she "needs" to be in it. Seems my older kids are doing just fine without it.

In Canada daycare is not used like it is here, and I don't even know anyone who sends their child to some sort of preschool (Canada wise) so I find it very foreign.

One thing I have learned is you can't compare things whether it's your kids with other kids or school and such or you will drive yourself nuts.

who needs tools when he has duct tape.....

The man did not even have duct tape in the house. I tell ya I did not marry a handy man, but I'm teaching him.

my computer with monitors was $1500... I'd hate to have a under $700 computer. I'd be pissed.

After school care for my daughter in elementary was $350 a month (unsubsidized) and it was from 3-6pm.

She went to play school before elementary. And some different classes too. Just for social interaction. Her play school was at a nature center. Loved it! Only twice a week for two afternoons.

If play school is like what I'm familiar with it's not anything like what they have around here. This place is scary weird for kids.

My inlaws could get away with a computer under $700, but it wouldn't work for anyone in our house.

My wife grew up with the over crowded roads packed with pedestrians, pedicabs, tricycles, scooters, jeepneys, taxis and cars, of a fair sized city in the Philippines. No one follows any rules, the roads are totally packed, you get around by forcing your way through traffic, yet she is afraid of the freeways here. Oh and four way stops too, they terrify her

If play school is like what I'm familiar with it's not anything like what they have around here. This place is scary weird for kids.

Well when play school is mixed with the county's incarcerated inmates, I'd be afraid to.
