hey DEAR vj'ers

I want to thank first of all THE WHOLE VJ team ( everybody that is answering all those questions for people that are in need )

This GREAT website and the beautiful people that are in it helped me ALOT

So I had a K1 VISA in brussels ( belgium )

Now im In the states I got married AFTER 90 days ( circumstances )

and I sent my package a couple of days ago to CHICAGO , IL

I am In florida ! and now its just waiting !! :D

So I dont have a SSN.. I-94 is expired already !

Stupid of me not to get it but yeah IT IZ WAT IT IZ

This is what I sent ( I precisely followed Visajourney.com Step by step guide ! ) :

A nice cover page wich explains what is in my package )

I-485

I-765

I-864 ( + most recent tax return , 2013 )

G 325A ( + 2 pasport style photos)

Money order of 1070 USD ( 3 money orders 500 + 500 + 70 )

I-693 Medical stuff ( the provious one I had in my country belgium was expired! ) but it cost me 220USD here so its ok , on VJ some guys said it will cost 1000USD so I was kinda scared but If u do a good research online You can find a cheap examination )

COPY of my noa1 and noa2 (I -129 K1)

COPY of my belgian passport ALL PAGES ( in color ) !

COPY of I-94 ( was already expired but still made a copy and put it in my package )

COPY of my international birth certificate ( english )

Copy of our Marriage certificate and Marriage License

So that was it !

Now I hope everything will be OK

do you guys have any suggestions or remarks ? did I forget something ?? please let me know !!!

The only thing in this list that I'm focused on is that you got married more than 90 days after arriving is the US. That's going to be a problem, as you did not fulfill the one major requirement of the K-1 visa. USCIS isn't going to care what the circumstances are. A more senior member of VJ will likely chime in on this, but my recollection of seeing situations like this is now you will have to also file for a I-130 in addition to the adjustment of status.

Ow noooooooooo !!! I totally wrote that wrong !! I meant I submitted my AOS package and sent it after 90 days !

i DID GET MARRIED within the 90 days !! :D im sorry to get u confused ! but no no thats OK im Good with the marriage thing! so everything else looks good right? now just fingers crossed I'll keep u guys up to date if I receive anything ( noa 1 and all the rest that follows ofcourse)

18 October 2014: Potential interview waiver letter rec'd (Dated: 10/15/2014)

19 May 2015: I-485 approved! (No interview) Welcome letter mailed!

23 May 2015: I-797 (NOA2) Welcome notice received

27 May 2015: Green card received

16 February 2017: ROC packet mailed to CSC

18 February 2017: USPS Tracking - Ready for collection from PO Box

25 February 2017: NOA1 received dated 02/21/2017

03 March 2017: Received biometrics appointment letter dated 25th February 2017. Appointment on 16 March 2017.

16 March 2017: Biometrics completed

08 March 2018: Case (allegedly) transferred to the National Benefits Center (presumably for a combo interview)

04 April 2019: ROC approved (as part of N-400 combo interview)

N-400

18 February 2018: N-400 Application submitted online

21 February 2018: NOA1 Rreceived

23 February 2018: Biometrics appointment letter received. Appointment 13 March 2018. 

27 April 2018: Interview notice received. Interview Date: June 5, 2018. Request to reschedule sent as out of the country at that time.

04 April 2019: Attended interview ... PASSED!

11 April 2019: Oath ceremony

Phew! I'm glad to hear that was just a typo. Filing AOS after 90 days is no big deal, as there is really no timeline to file for it. That said, what you submitted looks good! Now you wait, but at least waiting for AOS approval is SOOOO much less stressful than waiting on the K-1. Good luck!

Mine was transferred to Nebraska Service Center as well. Not to mention, I am also a July filer.

i wonder if they just recently started transferring cases from NBC to Nebraska? Hmm..

3/3/2017 (Day 257) - Received approval letter in the mail! 

3/13/2017 (Day 267) - Online status updated - new card being produced

3/16/2017 (Day 270) - Online status updated - new card was mailed to me

3/20/2017 (Day 274) - 10 year green card on hand!!

1/22/2018 - N-400 interview date scheduled 

1/26/2018 - Received N-400 interview letter in the mail! Interview scheduled on Feb. 28 

2/28/2018 - Naturalization interview - recommended for approval! :)

You need it to return, you can leave anytime you want. Thing is it's free and comes with you EAD, many people have been 100% they wont leave but then some family issue or whatever comes up and then they're having to make an infopass for emergency AP. You just might as well that's all, why not, it's very simple and free, to me it's a no brainer.
