Ok gals - I want to make something really good for dinner tonight but I feel burned out on my Moroccan cooking skills. Does anyone have a good idea using chicken or beef? Salads? I feel like I keep making the same old thing.... :( I'll take any ME genre of food doesn't have to be only Moroccan ;)

My kids let me sleep till 10am this morning but now they're begging me to do french braids. It's off then to drop my oldest diva to a birthday party at a laser tag place and spend quality time with my little diva wanna be. :luv: I love it when I get quality time with just one of them 'cause no fighting is involved. lol.

Good night sleep last night was just what the dr ordered. I can see clearly now the rain is gone.

Today I am grateful for:

1) I have a nice warm home

2) Tons of food in the kitchen

3) Cool car that works well

4) Two healthy, though very hormonal, daughters :luv:

5) A husband who loves me very very very very much, as I do him

6) My faith in God which has brought me through many hardships and will bring me through this process as well.

Have a good one everyone!

I have a recipe for Curried Chicken Salad if you like that type of stuff . . . easy, but you have to get some mango chutney!

Or how about a Tuscan Tuna and White Bean Salad?

Let me know and I can post it in the recipe thread.

Sorry, these aren't ME recipes . . . I just noticed that's what you wanted.

The Tuscan Tuna Salad sounds very yummy! Unfortunately Mango chutney is not something very available in western Wisconsin ;)

Doodle, glad to hear that you're feeling better today. :)

Think I'll be making cookies and bread today and trying to find a recipe for some bean soup!

Then of course there's the household chores that never seem to magically do themselves. What's up with that!!??

Hope everyone is enjoying their time, work or play.

:)

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

So it takes Cairo approx two months from receipt of packet 3 to the time they give you an interview date? That sucks.

That's actually not so bad, it took me around that time to get ours too. It would have been fine if they didn't schedule the interview 11 months out.

I wouldn't worry so much about how long it takes Cairo to schedule the interview as much as how long the AP/AR lasts . . . that can be indefinite as you can tell from hearing how long some of us have waited thru that part of the process.

But actually . . . try not to spend too much time worrying or obsessing about it at all . . . it is not good for you!!! Try to keep busy, do the things you need to do, make plans . . . actually a good one is to scrapbook all those old photos . . . maybe not the ones from egypt though, hehe! I've been doing that lately . . . did photos from Turkey in 1999, then started on my first trips to Egypt . . . NOT doing the Luxor photos from my 2005 trip yet (when I got married) but I do look at those all the time.
