Thank You very much for the help with regards her case...

Can i ask something? When you applied before for AOS before since you applied in CSC ... Did you go to interview or no?

No there was no interview for us. It was just issued when they finally got to our case.

I'd say about 95% of ROC applications have no interview.

AOS took us 8 months, ROC was three months. There's really no way to guess how long it will take until you're actually filing. The time frames seem to jump all over the place depending on whats going on with each service center.

Note though, if she is filipina and she initiates the divorce she cannot remarry under Philippine law.

What would Philippine Law have to do with it? If she's in the USA?

It wouldn't if she wanted to remarry in the US, but peoples' plans change over time and its a consideration if she wants to remarry in RP or a third country that requires a CENOMAR.

As a K-1 who never did a consular report of marriage abroad, she will still have a clean CENOMAR. The marriage needs to take place in the Philippines, or be properly reported to the consulate with jurisdiction over the location the marriage took place before the CENOMAR will become a CEMAR.

Davao is the best city in the country, I love that place. The women there tend to be a bit stubborn though, good when they go about a task, not so good when they get upset with you

He who is without sin cast the first stone...I thought OP requested

immigration info from the forum, Y have most jumped on the band-wagon of telling

her to seek a divorce? its up to the person. OK he got locked up for white

collar crime , no one knows whats it is about, how many have lied & cheat on their

taxes, credit applications, resumes all white collar crimes.

Put any human being under & microscope & U can find reasons to arrest them

or find them being un-etical....I am not saying crime is not wrong, but he may be a

good husband that made ONE mistake, but now ppl are even suggesting new

marriages & how to.

In the Federal system , he will get only 30 days off each yr and as a USC 5-6

mths prior to release date, he will go to a half way house and required to obtain

a new job and follow their rules. In the meantime anything her husband needs to

sign is allowed to be taken in by atty or mailed in & marked *Legal Mail*

I wish the young lady the best & hope she finds a job soon
