Can we still use the pictures that we used in K1 petition for my AOS. Our pictures was taken Aug 2005, me and my husband still look the same but I read somewhere that we need to send pictures not more than 6 months old.

I appreciate any advice and input. Thanks again.

If you ar talking passport photos, if they don't have dates printed on the back of them you should be fine.

I can only tell you what my lawyer told me...."I need pics of you 2 and with family and friends if posssible....and they need to be taken at different times [meaning different days]. I don't want pics taken all in 1 day."

The purpose of this is to show Immigration that you are living together and continuing your relationship.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply guys. Yes I'm talking about the Passport-style Photos and there's no date on it but I also use the same picture on my visa. I don't want to have an RFE because of sending old Passport-style Photos but nothing change on our face we exactly look the same.

In all the time I have been reading VJ I have never seen someone mention that a problem with passport photos.

In my case my fiancee gave me one that matches the one in her passport, it was at least a year and a half old when I sent it in with the I-129F, along with a copy of her bio page from her passport issued Aug 05 also showing the same picture.

You will not have a problem. If you are unsure then visit Walmart, Kinkos or where ever you can get a passport photo taken. I do them my self using my digital cam, and photo printer.

The instructions for the I-485 state, "Submit two identical, natural color passport-style photographs of yourself, taken within 30 days of the application."

Now why would you want to risk an RFE for something that is so cheap and takes so little time to accomplish? You know they have your prior applications in your folder and could easily tell that the photos are identical.

On the other hand, I have never heard or read of this being an issue.

I make my wife retake photos for each application, but that is just me.

Good Luck,

Antony

It wont matter either way. They wont be the photos that they use for your green card anyway. They take their own photos at the Biometrics appointment. The photos they request are going to sit in your file to put a face to the paperwork.

I submitted the same ones I used for my K1 interview. Now I'll wait to see if they'll send an RFE for that, but I actually doubt it.
