Well here I am again trying to figure out what could be the delay (although I may know but would have thought by now I would have heard from USCIS).

Like the thousands that are in my position I linger and troll the USCIS webpage everyday, every hour hoping to see the magic and relieving words APPROVED. I check my timeline to always see these words:

Employment Authorization Document

Based on timeline data, your EAD may be adjudicated between July 25, 2014 and July 28, 2014*

Advance Parole

Based on timeline data, your AP may be adjudicated between July 25, 2014 and July 28, 2014*.

Somewhere in my twisted mind I feel like things will be approved by these dates, only to find out 5 minutes after I enter the receipt number into the USCIS site, nothing has changed. But yet I still say to myself give it another 5 minutes and it will change. (Pipe dreams).

When I filed the AOS package I included everything I read about. We did get a RFE a few days after the filing and I complied (they wanted a detailed tax return, payroll stubs and a letter from my employer)

So one day I read a post and it was then that I piggybacked off the post to find out that I made an error in a code on the EAD form. ERGHHHHHHH how could I have screwed up the code. Ok so I get some advice from the seniors (thanks HARPA) and now I wait to see what happens. I get updates regularly from VJ and everyone in my group of filers seems to have gotten approved in 72-78 days. None of them have had an RFE, just me.

So here it is July 29 and still no sign of relief. I know that this is just an estimate and according to USCIS it says that I should give it 60 days from the time my evidence was submitted to hear something, but Im a selfish person and want things MY WAY.

I dont expect an answer from the forum but perhaps some relief. My husband I know is bored out of his mind and I see he hates that his hands are tied. I keep telling him that it will happen when it needs to happen and not when we want it to happen. Sometimes I hate being so darn hopeful. :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: :ranting:

The time you had the RFE will pause your case, and I don't think the VJ estimate takes that into account. Add the RFE time and you would get a good estimate, but I think it will be coming very soon (or be denied, for code, but at least you will be able to move forward with that).

Almost there!

In the meantime your husband could volunteer somewhere, does he have any interest in helping out at a soup kitchen or something? Good luck.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Harpa again thanks. Your knowledge and insight have a great impact on this site and forum. I told him to volunteer until we hear something back and he tried, but was told that they could only take in court ordered matters for community service.

He has had several job interviews and things look good but without that card he is just a couch potatoe. Im trying to stay positive about this whole thing, but I know its not yet behind me.

I'll keep stalking and trolling the USCIS website until I cant take it anymore.

I know exactly how you feel. I stalked uscis website also for my EAD card until finally I got a RFE this past Saturday wanting proof of my legal name because I have been married before. The only good thing is that I had already gotten an interview date.

Mrs. Parker,

I have to say that I come to the forums to find some hope and reassurance. I just am at the point right now that I want things my way, thats all. I just need to have more patience and prayer.

This is a great community for us....but I know it seems like things are taking forever but trust and believe it will all work out for good in the end.
