Problems with issuance of visas

Hi everybody, one friend of mine who just passed her interview July 24th in Kiev and her visa was approved,the consul said to wait in abt 5 days to get her passport,but today she got an email from the Embassy, with explanation, that their system has some troubles all over the world currently with issuance and with imprinting visas and they can't say when it gonna be fixed and when she can get her passport with visa in it, they said that these problems are all over the world abt US visas, so all she can do just wait and they can't say for how long, did somebody get some notice like that today or yesterday, who passed interview few days ago and was approved?

This has even been in the news, and yes many are getting notices directly. The system that is used to verify the security check was made and actually issue the visas crashed. This is a world wide issue.

Yes...my fiancée got her visa approval on the 24th also and was told the same thing! Today she forwarded the email that she received stating that the State Department is experiencing problems with its visa system and that it is a global problem. I read one news that it was up and running last week but only partially.

I read one news that it was up and running last week but only partially.

Haven't seen a news on full restoration yet.

This is still the status on embassy web sites around the world. They've got it up, but at last report its running very slow which means the backlog is probably growing instead of being reduced.

The U.S. Embassy in Manila is monitoring this situation, and we apologize to applicants who may experience delays.

I see that you have your visa, so you had no trouble getting it? My fiance went through interview August 6 but they asked for background check from Portugal because he lived there for two years. So we just got it and we will send it back to them, but thats all they needed so we should be getting our visa because interview was fine.
