Thank you Mrs Tams, so you go back and forth without trouble ...do you need to proof that you just visiting?

Thank you

You're welcome. I've never been asked to show proof of anything, but every immigration officer is different. I'm unemployed so I wouldn't have anything to show them anyway. I've only been asked how long I intend to stay.

On a side note, after marriage, I've been traveling with my marriage certificate just in case. I got a new passport with my married last name, but my VISA still has my maiden name. I even asked them if I have to travel with the marriage certificate (that I've never been asked for), and they said I don't have to because clearly they can see I'm the same person, but I can keep with me just in case. You never know.

Every case is different and I believe your country of origin plays a big role when going through immigration in any country. Bring your proof just in case. You should be fine! :-) ~~~

Hello Mrs Tams, thanks for the comment. N Lera66 thanks for asking the question. However Mrs Tams, if your visa is in your maiden name, does it mean you got the visa before your marriage. And can one apply for a visit visa to see husband during this filing process. I think that is where the issue of convincing the Consular Officer about ones return occurs,

Yes, I got my visitor's VISA long before I was married. In fact, I got my first one when I was 7 or 8 years old.

Yes, one can apply for while a petition is pending. However, it's your circumstances that will determine if you get approved or not. ~~~
