Need help from someone who upgraded their Status to IR? I am already eligible to apply for my citizenship so I can upgrade my wife's petition. But calculating the time it takes to finish the whole citizenship application, it's about 6 months. Is it still worth it to upgrade? Or just wait for my August 21 Priority date? It cost $680 for citizenship. Now that we are getting welcome letters, how much months are we still looking at?

I suggest you to apply for citizenship.. Visa bulletin is progressing now, but no one ever knows whn they will hold it. As soon as they reach the maximum visa count they can allow it might get stopped. Instead of going behind the bulletin if you apply for citizenship, by this way you will have confident.

Based on the state you are, processing time for citizenship will get vary, it took 7months for my husband as he was in NY.

Don't delay the citizenship process, there are lot of benefits you have by being a citizen than in GC. you can apply 90days before five years anniversary on the date in GC.

Being a citizen of America is always worth..

Once you started the NVC processing do join the NVC thread. There you can get lots of help.

Once you selected the agent, DS-261, call NVC and ask them to review over the phone. If they review it, you can easily get the IV Bill. Else it will take ages.

During the NVC process you should keeep calling them to move to the next step. Also go through Saylin wiki for NVC process.

When we sing in for fee we see petionner xxxxx then above applicant both kids names

Fee 0 $

It s my case number and Id but don t see my name (?)

And for form Ds261 choose of agent can't access

it was not upgraded but on sunday when i try to login for DS260 it saw instead of F2 it showing CR1 but when i try to login for fees i get the error msg

no email or WL mail

Thats a good news. So your case is upgraded successfully. Wait for sometime you will get the welcome letter. Also call them today and check the status, they can trigger it for you. For me whn I call and ask for the status they sent the welcome letter..

Did you applied seperatly? We filled up 3 applications for the kids to be U.S. citizen as soon their father ll be to be done with it.

I received a letter for each when we get on NVC stage so ... We have to call and find out maybe is like this ?
