Hello Nkystell we wait 45 days like they asked then we call if nothing. Iam not in the rush now our pd is July 2014 and some are still waiting for NOA2 with Vermont and Texas services centers. Hopefully February is a short month and from today 26th nVC start scheduling !!!

Wish all 2013 be over with their case in the next 2 vb! Stay positive !

Congrats to you! My husband will be able to start his citizenship journey in December 2015, though I wouldn't mind being current long before that.

That seems to be the case with most 2014 at this point. let's know if anything changes

Just now I saw a person with Jan 28 PD under F2A got fee invoices from NVC. So, you guys are not far behind. You will soon get good news. VB will move faster in coming months.

Hello everyone,

I just found out about this forum today from the result of my frustration in this process of petitioning my wife. She applied for a tourist visa today and got denied. We knew that her petition would take about 2 years before she could join me here, but through prayer we hoped that God would grant her a tourist visa and at least spend some time together. Though saddened by this news, we are hoping to be together for good someday.

I received the NOA2 aprroval last Jan.16 (PD Aug.2014) but still have'nt receive anything from NVC. I'm gonna call them first thing tomorrow.

Can anybody help me on what to expect next? I don't have full understanding of the wait times. Can I tell her that were close because it's already approved? How long will this be over?

Hi r2rjms,

You can call NVC and ask them your case number and IIN. But if you are GC holder all you can do now is waiting for your PD to be current. You have to follow visa bulletin, so far its still 2013. Else if you become a citizen then you can upgrade your petition and start processing the visa.

Process to upgrade your petition,

you can send a mail to NVC with the below details or you can send an email to asknvc@state.gov

Petitioner

name, DOB,

Beneficiary

name, DOB, Country

WAC number

Attach copy of NOA2 and naturalization certificate with the cover letter.

We did both, my case has arrived NVC on Feb4th and my husband got naturalized on the same day, still we didn't heard anything from NVC. They asked to call them back by March.

Hey don't be sad. NVc has already sent further processing emails to persons with jan 28,2014 PD. In coming months Visa bulletin will move more quickly it seems. So you will get a message from NVC with further instructions within 6-7 months. So it will not take 2 years. Best of luck.

I called NVC the other day, basically after sending NOA2, I just have to wait the priority date. The note on NOA2 saying they will contact me within 30 days is pretty much gonna be 1 year.

They did not gave me any case number like others did. Is everyone getting case number at the moment?

how long it took for you to get the case upgraded? We sent our request on 4th Feb and still no update, they didn't even confirm that they received our request or not. How did you sent yours? Can you guide me pls? I thought to send once again with case number and IIN, cause what we sent has only the USCIS receipt number. What you suggest on this? I also sent email to asknvc@state.gov.
