i need some advice please

me and my wife we been married for 4 years now but i been living with her here in USA for 2 year and i got a IR1 green card for 10 years

but we have a lot of problems she is controling everything she want to take me to work and bring me home so i will not go no wher by my self i cant go shoping by my self i cant watch tv how i want i cant go with my friends at work if they invite me to play soccer or basketball and everytime i get off computer she check history if she left the house and when she comeback she will acuse me of cheating or watching porn on computer and she quiet her job and stay hom doing nothing im the only one is working i wanted to go to school to be somthing in this life and she refused and she said you will not go to shool and bitches every wher in colleg and you will cheat on me and we stop going to the gym becaus i cant handl it anymor she think im watching all the girls in the gym and we start fighting and mor and mor and mor .... so yall think it fear for me to live like this or just run away and divorce her and please help by answer this question

i 1 1want to know is divorce will effect my green card

2 is divorcing her will affect me when i aplly for citizenship

3 can my wife call the immigration and send me back to my contry because she threat me all the time that she will call them and send me back

thx and i did have a lot of problems befor with her but i still love her and i been living in hell for 2 years now hoping that she will change but i just cant handl this anymor if i did not have faith in god maybe i alreday killed my self

but now i really i just want to run far away so she will not find me it enaugh

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

1 - Since you already have your 10-year green card, she cannot do anything that would affect your immigration status.

2 - You would still be eligible to file for US Citizenship, but it would be after 5 years of becoming a LPR (If you were married still, it would be after 3 years)

3 - If you want a divorce, get a divorce. She cannot do anything to get you deported.

thx im with a friend right now i run away from my crazy wife its the first time in 2 year that i feel peace insid my heart so i will not have a problem with the imegration just go ahead and divorce her and see who will pay her bills now she is crying i will go back but i cant go back to hell again i will choos to go back to morocco then live with her but im supportin my old parrent and my brother at school so i cant go back my family is poor and im the only one is helping them

The only effect divorce will have, is that you would have to wait 5 years from issuance of the green card to apply for citizenship, rather than 3 years.

I don't think applying for citizenship requires the spouse's signature. If you have had your GC for 3 years and are still living together, I think you can apply now. I don't think the application is voided if you split up. I could be wrong about that. It's not like you filed at 3 years and moved out the next day.
