DCF MANILA filing with step daughter pls help for those who have applied

hi my fiancee and i got married last july 18 and we are planning to fix the other docs for the DCF filing so far we are debating if when we apply do we include my step daughter in applying or she would be separate i have talked to one friend saying we should include her already when we apply.

now question is what is the best thing to do? bring her wen we apply or not yet? but we are leaning to include her when we apply. bec our plan is to leave her here first cause she still has school til march 2015 so we plan to go ahead first and settle down in america first before we bring her maybe a good 6months to 1 year.

and if we do include her to apply with us what docs do i need? my step daughter's birth cert is under her moms name. so i guess it'll be a little easier what else is needed? pls help for those who applied with step sons/daughters thanks

Are you living with your wife in the Philippines? If yes, how long? You have to fulfill this requirement inable to file DCF.

As recommended before, file the petition now, both of them, then do the wife's case all the way through. When you're ready to do the step daughter, fill out the ds260, and schedule her appointment.

They will be two cases from the start, but can both be started at the same time. As long as you get the daughters visa done within a year from when the petition is approved, its all good. If you don't start it now, and wait till you're in the us to file her petition, its going to take a long time for just the petition to be approved, then you've got nvc, blah blah, long wait.
