Just when you thought Hank Johnson and the Guam tipping over was the dumbest thing ever said in Washington

http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV/2014/07/25/Dem-Rep-You-Dont-Have-a-Right-to-Know-Everything-Government-Does

Friday at a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) told her Republican colleagues trying to get to the bottom of a potential violation of federal election law by the Obama administration that they “don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government, my friend.”

Norton claimed, “That is the difference between a parliamentary government and a separation-of-powers government.”

Norton was addressing the Obama administration defying Oversight Committee chairman Rep. Darrell Issa's (R-CA) subpoena of David Simas, the director of the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach, to appear before Congress. Issa has accused Obama's former labor secretary, Hilda Solis, of breaking the law with a voicemail seeking political donations for the president's re-election.

You think the government should share everything? Have you heard of national security, classified reports, and clearance?

It gets far dumber than that in Florida...

http://nypost.com/2014/07/26/florida-congressman-misidentifies-us-officials-as-india-reps/

WASHINGTON — A freshman congressman from Florida erroneously lectured two US government officials about things “your country” should do — under the mistaken belief they were from India.

The officials, Nisha Biswal and Arun Kumar, were both Americans representing the State and Commerce departments at a hearing of a House Foreign Affairs subcommittee.

But the Republican lawmaker, Curt Clawson — who just weeks ago replaced Rep. Tray Radel, who quit Congress in January after he got caught buying cocaine — seemed convinced they were Indian officials.

“I am familiar with your country; I love your country,” he said. “Anything I can do to make the relationship with India better, I’m willing and enthusiastic about doing so.”

Oh, very good, so you agree that the title of the article is purposely misleading, when comparing it to the content in the article?

Oh come on, get a grip. I said I thought you were getting really smart. That means right now I could think you are just regular smart. Is regular smart an insult? How about you read it again and put a big smiley at the end of it? Would that help with the intent?

There is some really weird ###### going on in this forum, where a playful jab gets read as an insult, and hate speech or calling someone a terrorist is like, meh?
